Stars of Broadway and Drag brought out their best wigs, costume changes, and high kicks to face off in TodayTix Presents 'Lip Sync Roulette: Drag vs. Broadway' last night at Slate NY in Chelsea. 

Last night, The Jimmy Awards held their 11th annual ceremony at Broadway's Minskoff Theatre. The top awards went to Ethan Kelso and Ekele Ukegbu, for Best Performance by an Actor, and Actress, respectively. Kelso took home the prize for his performance as Will Bloom in Big Fish at Salt Lake School for the Performing Arts in Logan, Utah, while Ukegbu won for her performances as the title role of Aida at Elmont Memorial Junior-Senior High School in New York City.

Frankie Grande, Ethan Slater, Lesli Margherita, Samantha Massell, Adam Kaplan, Noma Dumezweni, and Justin Sargent will complete Team Broadway for TodayTix Presents 'Lip Sync Roulette: Drag vs. Broadway" on June 25, 2019, at Slate NYC

Tony Award nominee, Ethan Slater, will return to the Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan on Thursday, July 11 at 8 p.m. for a rooftop concert featuring his original music. Performed with a band of musical collaborators, the music is informed by Slater's influences, including Simon and Garfunkel, LCD Soundsystem, Broadway, and more. The unique concert is a chance to see your favorite Broadway star in a new and intimate way.

Ethan Slater, recent Tony Award nominated star of Spongebob Squarepants, makes his Feinstein's/54 Below solo debut this August 1 & 2 at 9:30pm! Throughout the night he will explore the question, "why do I write?"

The stars were on their feet (toes, taps and standing ovations) on a warm Sunday night, May 19th, for the Chita Rivera Awards a?" an annual ceremony recognizing the very best in dance on Broadway, Off-Broadway and in film that honors icons and trailblazers while also nurturing future generations simultaneously. It could have been dubbed a?oeChita Rivera's Dance Salona?? for the presenters, attendees and honorees read like a Who's Who of Chita's friends, fans and fellow Fosse favorites, including hosts Ben Vereen and Anne Reinking.

Last week I went to the Drama Desk Award Nominations Reception at Green Room 42, here in NYC.  This is one of the last few events where you get to meet some of the newest folks doing theater OFF Broadway and On Broadway.  You also get a chance to chat to some of the actors who are nominated for this year's Tony Awards, as well.
