During a recent interview, acclaimed director James Cameron revealed that he was close to directing the film version of Wicked during the early days of development.

Following a record-breaking opening weekend, Wicked: For Good remained strong at the box office into the new week, bringing in $14.7 million on Monday in North America.

Less than a week after the theatrical release of Wicked: For Good, the studio heads at Universal are already brainstorming how to continue the wonderful world of Oz onscreen.

A new track has been released from the Wicked: For Good score album, which arrives on December 5. Titled 'A Wicked Good Finale,' the largely instrumental track from composer John Powell is taken from the end of the new film and features the vocals of Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo. Wicked: For Good, hich officially hit theaters on Friday, opened with $226 million at the global box office, making it the biggest ever opening for a Broadway musical adaptation, surpassing the record set for Part One in 2024.
