BroadwayWorld has learned that a stage adaptation of Emma Donoghue’s bestselling novel Room will open on Broadway in April 2023. The production is expected to be a limited run through September. No casting or theater has been announced.

The Canadian Premiere production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has released additional tickets from $69 for sale just in time for the gift-giving season.  Ten more weeks of performances will be added, March 21 – June 4, 2023.  The new block of tickets goes on sale on Saturday December 10, 2022 at 9:45 AM ET in celebration of Platform 9 ¾ at King's Cross train station in London.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child at the CAA Ed Mirvish theatre will surpass 250,000 theatre goers. To celebrate this milestone, Toronto audiences will be treated to surprise-and-delight giveaways at all eight performances throughout the week of October 24th, which is when they anticipate the production will welcome its quarter-million patron.  

Sarah Afful who plays 'Hermione Granger' in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in Toronto will be on maternity leave beginning September 30, 2022 as she prepares to welcome her second child. Temporarily replacing Sarah during her leave is Antoinette Robinson from the Broadway company who will make her Canadian stage debut.

David Mirvish will offer Same-Day Rush Seats for the fall season — Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Singin' in the Rain, The Shark is Broken and Indecent. Rush seats are based on availability and cost $29 to $59. This is an affordable means of seeing Toronto's biggest hits this fall. 

All four Mirvish theatres in Toronto — the Royal Alexandra, the Princess of Wales, the CAA Ed Mirvish and the CAA — will turn off their marquee lights for the entire day on Monday, September 19th, the day of Queen Elizabeth II’s state funeral. This is will be the first time this has ever happened.

Mirvish has brought a truly spellbinding production to the CAA Ed Mirvish Theatre this season. After over two years sitting empty, the theatre was packed on an opening weekend showing of the latest show in their 2022 season: the Canadian premiere of HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD.

A Victorian thriller melded with a dash of 21st century female fortitude makes up the fabric of the Shaw Festival's gripping new production of GASLIGHT. Over the years the Festival has mastered presenting these chilling stories in it's quaint jewel box  Royal George Theatre. Memories of REBECCA and AND THEN THERE WERE NONE always pervade my memories in that theatre. Even at first glance, the dimly lit set primes the audience for an afternoon of intrigue and escapism to another era.

All new photos have beenn released from the Canadian Premiere production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child began performances on Tuesday May 31st and officially opens on Sunday June 19th, 2022 at the CAA Ed Mirvish Theatre.
