5-STAR THEATRICALS is presenting the second show of its 2023-2024 season, the nine-time Tony nominated, revised 2013 Broadway version of the impossibly magical musical, CINDERELLA. Check out photos here!

Cinderella - it’s a tale as old as time. Oh wait, wrong show. It’s pretty close, though. The story has roots as far back as 200 B.C. in Egypt, but the most well-known version dates to the 17th century, which is the one made famous by Disney in 1950. Broadway at Music Circus is showcasing a new adaptation of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella that features a revised book by Douglas Carter Beane. Originally made for television in 1957, Beane’s vision strays from that by incorporating modern elements that appeal to an evolving society while keeping some of the old fairytale flavor. Modern Cinderella opened on Broadway in 2013, the first time ever for any rendition of that title, and ran for two years. Now, it’s here to continue Broadway at Music Circus’ streak of being the place to be in the summer since 1951.

FSCJ Artist Series High School Summer Musical Theatre Experience is celebrating its 17th year providing theatre opportunities to 7th-12th graders in the First Coast area. This summer, from July 21 through July 30, more than 50 student performers and technicians will train with professional theatre artists in preparation for our production of Sister Act.  

Closing the 2022 – 2023 Season at Metropolis is the cult movie classic turned musical comedy Xanadu. Kevin Wiczer directs the glitter explosion with choreography by Kristine Burdi and musical direction by Kenneth McMullen.

Hope Mill Theatre has announced the world premiere of TO WONG FOO THE MUSICAL, based on the 1995 ground-breaking film, To Wong Foo Thanks for Everything Julie Newmar, written by multiple Tony Award nominee Douglas Carter Beane.

The Cortland Repertory Theatre Box Office will open on Monday, May 22nd for all summer ticket sales for their 51st annual summer season.
