Libra Theater Company has announced its Spring 2012 production of 12th Night by William Shakespeare. Directed by Evan Mueller (Amphibian Productions' Animals Out of Paper - "Best Of", Fort Worth Weekly), 12th Night features a talented ensemble cast including Drama Desk nominee Jeremy Morse (Bloodsong of Love, Ars Nova) as well as original songs and music direction by Jeff Raab. The show runs May 1-12, 2012.

BALLET HISPANICO presents the World Premiere of Espiritu Vivo created by Ronald K. Brown and set to music performed live by Susana Baca; Asuka, Eduardo Vilaro's first work for the company; and the New York Premiere of Annabelle Lopez Ochoa's Nube Blanco at The Joyce Theater from April 17-29, 2012 with Family Matinees on April 21, 28, 29 at 2pm.

GET THE GRINGO, starring Mel Gibson, is an explosive action filmed infused with dark comedy directed by Adrian Grunberg from a screenplay he co-wrote with Mel Gibson and produced by Mel Gibson, Bruce Davey and Stacy Perskie. The film will be available on DIRECTV on May 1.

Team StarKid's latest production, HOLY MUSICAL B@MAN!, an original musical comedy parody from the creative team behind A VERY POTTER MUSICAL, will be available to view on YouTube as of this evening. Pioneer Theatre Company will present its 2012 Bravo! Award to PTC's longtime artistic director, Charles Morey, at its spring gala on Friday, May 4, 2012. Mr. Morey is leaving the theatre in June after 28 years of service. The community is invited to attend the event.

Celebra Books, a division of Penguin Group (USA), announced the acquisition of legendary film, television, and stage performer Rita Moreno's untitled memoir. Executive Editor Denise Silvestro acquired world rights to the book from Dan Strone, CEO of Trident Media Group. The book will be published in winter 2013.
