SC7NARIO, a new 18-minute film starring a stunning company of Broadway's greatest dancers, will premiere this summer.  The genre-defying film, stars Tyler Hanes (Cats, A Chorus Line), Amber Ardolino (Moulin Rouge!, Hamilton), Max Clayton (Moulin Rouge!, Hello, Dolly!), Karla Garcia(“Smash,” West Side Story) and more.

The company of Hamilton took top honors for best onstage presentation. In a?oeAmerica,a?? the cast mashed up the music and lyrics of Bob Marley and Lin-Manuel Miranda and the poetry of Langston Hughes into a call for peace and equality in our country.

Dear Evan Hansen's Mike Faist has been cast as Riff of the Jets  in Fox's Steven Spielberg West Side Story film, according to Deadline. Puerto Rican singer and dancer Ana Isabelle will play Rosalia, a shark who works with Maria and Dance Moms' Maddie Ziegler has been cast as part of the Jets. They have also cast  over 40 performers set as Sharks and Jets!

North Carolina Theatre, the region's premiere nonprofit professional theatre, presents its first production of the 2018-19 season, Lin-Manuel Miranda's In the Heights, playing Oct. 16-21 at Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Raleigh.

Texas Christian University's (TCU) School of Music at the Bass presents Celebrating Leonard Bernstein - a vibrant, commemorative performance of Bernstein's timeless compositions at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 22 at Bass Performance. The TCU Symphony Orchestra will join the TCU Concert Chorale and distinguished alumni soloists for an evening featuring a celebratory curation of Bernstein's acclaimed works, including the Overture to Candide, Symphonic Dances from West Side Story, Chichester Psalm and more. The tribute performance is part of a worldwide movement, Leonard Bernstein at 100 - a two-year global celebration of the life and career of the 20th century cultural giant, featuring more than 2,500 events on six continents.

From October 16th-21st, North Carolina Theatre will be opening their 2018-19 season with a production of Lin-Manuel Miranda & Quiara Alegria Hudes' 2008 award-winning musical, In the Heights, at the Raleigh Memorial Auditorium. Luwoye began his Hamilton journey as an alternate in the Broadway production on July 11, 2016, before going on to become the principal Hamilton on the Angelica tour, beginning March 10, 2017.
