16th Street Theater's world premiere of Loy A. Webb's HIS SHADOW directed by Wardell Julius Clark has been extended to October 19, 2019 at North Berwyn Park District's 16th Street Theater, 6420 16th Street in Berwyn.

Rough House Theater Co. is proud to announce its return this Halloween season with an updated production of the sold out 2018 horror phenomena. This year, Rough House Theatre presents The Silence in Harrow House , conceived and directed by Mike Oleon, written by Mark Maxwell and Claire Saxe, September 26 a?" November 10 at the Chopin Theatre, 1543 W Division St. Audiences once again descend into Rough House's gorgeous, dark and surreal world for a new story of silence, sacrifice and transformation. Previews are Thursday, Sept. 26 and Friday, Sept. 27 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 28 at 7 and 8:45 p.m. Opening night is Thursday, Oct. 3 at 7 p.m. Performance times are Thursdays and Fridays at 7 and 8:45 p.m., Saturdays at 6, 7:45 and 9:30 p.m., and Sundays at 6 and 7:45 p.m. Recommended for audiences aged 14 and over. 16th Street Theater announces the world premiere of Loy A. Webb's HIS SHADOW directed by Wardell Julius Clark September 5 - October 12, 2019 at North Berwyn Park District's 16th Street Theater, 6420 16th Street in Berwyn with a press opening of Thursday, September 12 at 7:30 PM.    

The Factory Theater is proud to announce five new members of its artistic ensemble: Brittney Brown, Jose M. Cervantes, Ashley Yates, Michael Jones and Jennifer Betancourt.  Factory's ensemble members write all of the Factory's original plays and have full voting rights in the company, including season selection, leadership election and accepting new ensemble members. They are also forced to do arduous chores like helping with strike and manning the box office. 

Directed by Company Member Bryan Wakefield, the production features guest artist Tricia Rogers as Gross and Company Member Joel Moses as Balas.

Chimera Ensemble presents the Chicago Premiere of How to Live on Earth, written by award-winning playwright MJ Kaufman, and directed by Gwendolyn Wiegold. The production will go up March 8-24 in The Pentagon Theater at Collaboraction Studios in The Flat Iron Arts Building, 1579 N. Milwaukee Ave., Chicago IL 60622. There will be one preview performance on Friday, March 8 at 7:30 pm. Opening night, followed by a reception, will be Today, March 9 at 7:30 pm.

Co-Artistic Directors Manny Tamayo and Stacie Barra of The Factory Theater launch a new Artistic Associate Program to coincide with the opening of their next mainstage production May the Road Rise Up, February 15 - March 30 at the Factory Theater, 1623 W. Howard St., Chicago. The Artistic Associate Program aims to welcome members into The Factory Theater family to promote the creation, development and possible staging of new works and initiatives at Factory. The first two Artistic Associates named are Sarah Espinoza and David Goodman-Edberg. Goodman-Edberg also serves as the lighting designer for May the Road Rise Up.

Otherworld Theatre will produce the world premiere of The Winter Wolf  a holiday-themed fairy tale written by Joseph Zettelmaier  and directed by artistic associate Lauren N. Fields. The play runs December 6, 2018 - January 6, 2019. Press opening is December 8, 2018 at 3914 N Clark Street, Chicago, IL 60613 in the Alchemists' Lab space within Otherworld Theatre. The Winter Wolf was workshopped in 2017 as part of the Otherworld Theatre Reading Series, a monthly staged reading and talkback series. Fields is a recently named artistic associate at Otherworld and directed last season's world premiere production, Down the Rocky Road and All the Way to Bedlam. Prop Thtr is pleased launch its 2018-19 season with the world premiere of NEVERLAND, a new devised riff on J.M. Barrie's Peter Pan, devised by The Ensemble and directed by the Prop's new Artistic Director Olivia Lilley.

A young woman in despair returns to Rome with little more than her suitcase - and a dark secret. Vulnerable and with a past, she encounters several men who push her to edge. Luigi Pirandello and his 'Naked' heroine open up the debate about gender power dynamics amidst the powerful social and cultural mores with which the characters must contend.

Prop Thtr is pleased launch its 2018-19 season with the world premiere of NEVERLAND, a new devised riff on J.M. Otherworld Theatre will produce the Midwest premiere of All I Want is One More Meanwhile... a superhero comedy written by Kelly Jean Fitzsimmons and directed by ensemble member Nathan Pease. Performances are September 26, 2018 - October 27, 2018 and is the first mainstage show of its first season at its newly acquired theater location, 3914 N Clark Street, Chicago, IL 60613. A Midwest Premiere, All I Want Is One More Meanwhile... was originally produced as part of The Brick's Comic Book Theater Festival in Brooklyn.

Otherworld Theatre Company announced Jacob Bates, Michael Bullaro, Bryce Fields, Lauren N. Fields, Stephanie Mattos, and Nathan Randall Miller will join the company as new artistic associates. The six new artistic associates join existing artistic associates Katy Crow, Emerson Elias, Gaby Fernandez, David Goodman-Edberg, Shaun Hayden, Nick Izzo, and Devonte Washington and ensemble members Mary-Kate Arnold, Bennett Bottero, Grace Gimpel, Tiffany Keane Shaefer, Elliott Sowards, Elizabeth C. MacDougald, Nathan Pease, Sara Robinson, Dylan Schaefer, and Kai Young.
