David Byrne just announced an extensive world tour in support of his forthcoming solo record, American Utopia. David will perform songs from the new album, which is out March 9 via Todomundo/Nonesuch Records, as well as classics from his solo career and his days with Talking Heads. A twelve-piece band will also join David on stage for a choreographed concert that he has called the most ambitious show I've done since the shows that were filmed for Stop Making Sense.

Tony Babino, performer Carol Ostrow and the Actors' Temple Board of Directors are celebrating their 101st year honoring the historic entertainers who have passed through their doors, with their annual gala YOU AIN'T HEARD NOTHIN' YET. Entertainers past and present will commemorate this mecca of modern Jewish culture, including Tony Babino, George Bettinger, Sir Frank London and Friends and special guest Star of the Yiddish Theatre, Joanne Borts. Brand new immersive theatre piece It Made Me Consider Me (IMMCM) will be coming to New Diorama Theatre for a limited three week run beginning on 31 January. This ambitious new production sees a group of enigmatic guides take participants on a seemingly bog-standard tour of a seemingly normal building, only for the experience to descend into a series of vivid dreamscapes, consciousness-altering encounters and a voyage into the labyrinthine corridors of human identity and memory, particularly the dark recesses where everything is stored, but nothing is remembered.

Famed Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater marks its annual Kennedy Center engagement, February 6 11, with seven magnetic performances on the Opera House stage. On 9 January, the first day that same-sex couples can formally marry in Australia, Sydney Festival will host a giant wedding reception for Sydney to celebrate all the couples officiating their love and commitment through marriage. The reception offers the opportunity to bathe in a bright pink swimming pool, entry to dance up a storm in JOF's 10 Minute Dance Parties and the opportunity to play 'wedding singer', or belt out love songs, on the world's first Karaoke Carousel, all free of charge. The world premiere of the work titled The Horse Trottted Another Couple of Metres, Then it Stopped is presented free to the public at Carriageworks from 6 January as part of Sydney Festival 2018 and continues until 8 April 2018.
