Honoring musical icon Joni Mitchell's legacy and 75th birthday, Decca Records will release The Music Center Presents Joni 75: A Birthday Celebrationon March 8, 2019. On Joni's 75th birthday last November, a star-studded roster of musicians gathered together to pay tribute to the legendary singer-songwriter. The evening was recorded and is now subsequently being released. It features performances by Brandi Carlile; Glen Hansard; Emmylou Harris; Norah Jones; Chaka Khan; Diana Krall; Kris Kristofferson; Los Lobos with La Marisoul, Cesar Castro & Xochi Flores; Graham Nash; James Taylor; Seal; Rufus Wainwright; and more. Peter Murphy Pays Tribute to David Bowie With Special Show, Currently on U.S. Tour

As a gesture of respect from one consummate showman to another, legendary musician PETER MURPHY has announced that he will be performing a special tribute to the late, great DAVID BOWIE on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at San Francisco's The Chapel. As the final show of his two week residency in which he will perform his solo albums in their entirety plus three 'Mr. Moonlight' sets of Bauhaus music, Peter will honor the music of the Starman by performing songs selected from Bowie's catalog. Says Peter of the show, 'Now that all and sundry have fallen off the David Bowie tribute band wagon, I thought I'd do my own.'

The interrelated dramatic monologues range from tragedy to comedy in a 'newsical' revue that examines pressing social issues from an African-American female perspective. Sistas on Fire! A Newsical uses theatre to provoke thought, encourage social activism, and build bridges that cross race, class, gender and culture. In short, it's For Colored Girls for the New Millennium.

Charlotte Gainsbourg has announced U.S. tour dates that will take her through several cities in April 2019, including Boston, Washington, D.C., New York, and San Francisco. The tour will also include her previously announced performances at Coachella, and comes in support of her most recent releases, the Take 2 EP and her last studio album, Rest. NYTW Will Present 17 BORDER CROSSINGS This Spring

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) will present 17 Border Crossings, created and performed by NYTW Usual Suspect Thaddeus Phillips (A Billion Nights on Earth), and directed by Tatiana Mallarino (Red Eye to Havre de Grace). This will be Thaddeus Phillips's third collaboration with NYTW, following ¡El Conquistador! in 2006 and Red Eye to Havre de Grace in 2014.
Troubadour Theatre To Launch A Brand New Venue At White City Place In 2019

Troubadour Theatres and Stanhope, Mitsui Fudosan and AIMCo today announced the launch of the Troubadour White City Theatre at White City Place, the former BBC Media Village in west London. Opening in summer 2019, the new theatre will join a thriving new neighbourhood at White City Place, neighbouring other destinations such as Soho House and Westfield Shopping Centre.

Alumni musicians from David Bowie's bands join together on stage to kick off Live @ Benaroya Hall's Spring lineup. Earl Slick and Mike Garson, two of Bowie's most notable band mates are available for phone interviews before arriving in town. The Chieftains take the stage a few days later and three more concerts are planned for March. Additional concerts and lectures throughout 2019 are being planned and will be announced in the coming months. Tickets for the concerts listed above are on sale now, prices vary.
