Following their sweep of Australian and East Coast tour dates, No Quarter will proudly present “Whole Lotta Love For Wilmington” – a benefit concert at the Wilson Center in Wilmington, NC on Saturday, February 2 (7:30PM). All proceeds from the show will go to the Cape Fearless Challenge By The Women Of One Tree Hill to help students impacted by Hurricane Florence. Students in greatest need will be identified and funded through the Student Services division of Cape-Fear Community College.

On January 31, 2019 The Iridium will host a tribute show commemorating the 60th anniversary of “The Day the Music Died.” THE NIGHT THE MUSIC LIVED recreates the last concert by the rock 'n' roll legends lost in the infamous plane crash on February 3, 1959, and features Todd Meredith as Buddy Holly, John Rodriguez as Ritchie Valens, and Chuck Caruso as The Big Bopper, performing classics like 'That'll Be The Day,' 'Peggy Sue,' 'It's So Easy,' 'La Bamba,' 'Donna,' and 'Chantilly Lace.” Rockabilly band The Rave-Ons will be also be performing as well as other special guests.

The Wallis Studio Ensemble presents S.O.S., an original multi-media physical theatre work about love and resilience in times of crisis, directed by Madeleine Dahm, from Thursday, January 31 through Sunday, February 10, 2019 at the Circle X Theatre (Please note: S.O.S.is not being performed at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts, but at the Circle X Theatre in Atwater Village). The production uses little known love letters by great writers and activists such as Vita Sackville West, Frederick Douglas, Maya Angelou, Tchaikovsky, Frida Kahlo, Virginia Woolf, Rainer Maria Rilke and others, along with original text, movement, film and photography.

Today THE FLAMING LIPS celebrate the spirit of the season by releasing a performance video of the Christmas classics “Peace On Earth”/ “Little Drummer Boy”. The film and audio recording were captured at Coyne's Pink Floor Studios in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and features THE LIPS live line-up of Wayne Coyne, Steven Drozd, Michael Ivins, Derek Brown, Jake Ingalls, Matt Kirksy and Nicholas Ley performing the songs. The video was directed by Wayne Coyne and George Salisbury.
