BroadwayWorld is taking an in-depth back on just some of the performers who have taken on the iconic role in the past.

Dave Willetts, one of the UK's most critically acclaimed musical stars joins the cast of the West End revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical Aspects of Love, which opens on 13 May 2023 at the Lyric Theatre in London.   He will play the role of Sir George Dillingham at every Monday performance from 29 May 2023, the role played by Michael Ball at every other performance.

Coventry’s Criterion Theatre will open the Festival on the Sunday July 18, with a performance of “Queers - The Monologues”, by various writers but curated by Mark Gatiss, co-creator of the popular “Sherlock” tv series and who starred in it as elder brother Mycroft Holmes.

In this ‘special circumstances’ year, the Offies 2021 Awards Ceremony celebrated the creativity and resilience of our artists in fringe, alternative and independent theatre in a time of crisis who have found new ways to produce fresh and inventive work for thousands of stay-at-home audiences.

Tomorrow, May 15, GHOSTLIGHT RECORDS will release Rags - The Musical: Original London Cast Recording in digital and streaming formats. A physical CD will be available later this year. The new album - based on the revised London production that played to sold out houses earlier this year - is the first recording of this new version of the ravishing score. Customers who pre-order the digital album will immediately receive a download of the first single, 'Children of the Wind.'

Rags a?" The Musical: Original London Cast Recording will be released in digital and streaming formats on Friday, May 15. 

There will be a cast recording of their production of RAGS The Musical which is currently playing to sold out houses at Park Theatre, London, running until tomorrow, Saturday 8 February. This will be the first recording of the show since Sony's 1991 album with the Broadway cast.

The London transfer of Hope Mill Theatre's RAGS opened at Park Theatre, London on 9 January and runs until 8 February 2020.

Carolyn Maitland, Dave Willetts and Sam Attwater will star as Rebecca, Avram and Bronfman respectively in RAGS The Musical at Park Theatre, London. The show will run for a limited season from 9 January to 8 February 2020, with a press night on 14 January. RAGS The Musical has a book by Joseph Stein (Fiddler on the Roof), revised book by David Thompson, lyrics by Stephen Schwartz (Wicked) and music by Charles Strouse (Annie).
