According to Deadline, the new Netflix original series RUSSIAN DOLL for a second season. The first season of Russian Doll follows a young woman named Nadia (Natasha Lyonne) on her journey as the guest of honor at a seemingly inescapable party one night in New York City.

Based on a true story that gripped the country, When They See Us will chronicle the notorious case of five teenagers of color, labeled the Central Park Five, who were convicted of a rape they did not commit. The four part limited series will focus on the five teenagers from Harlem -- Antron McCray, Kevin Richardson, Yusef Salaam, Raymond Santana and Korey Wise. Beginning in the spring of 1989, when the teenagers were first questioned about the incident, the series will span 25 years, highlighting their exoneration in 2002 and the settlement reached with the city of New York in 2014.

IFC Center today announced an impressive and wide-ranging lineup for the third annual Split Screens Festival (www.splitscreensfestival.com) taking place Wednesday, May 29 through Monday, June 3, 2019, at the IFC Center in New York City. The festival consists of special events offering a variety of looks at history, identity and the mystery of existence itself, including panels on series that explore dystopian realities and alternate timelines, and screenings that transport us into any number of time periods and places, be it a late-1800s South Dakota town or the height of 1980s ballroom culture in New York City.

GKIDS, the acclaimed producer and distributor of animation for adult and family audiences, has announced the English voice cast for MFKZ. MFKZ is a collaboration from French comic artist Guillaume “Run” Renard, original creator of the comic series, and ultra-hip Japanese animation house Studio 4°C, creators of the acclaimed anime features “Tekkonkinkreet,” “Genius Party,” and “Mind Game.” The film will feature the voices of Michael Chiklis (The Shield, American Horror Story), Giancarlo Espositio (Breaking Bad, The Usual Suspects), Jorge Gutierrez (The Book of Life, Son of Jaguar), Dascha Polanco (Orange is the New Black, Joy), RZA, Vince Staples, and Danny Trejo (Machete, Predators). The “Tekkonkinkreet” dream team of co-director Shojiro Nishimi and art director Shinji Kimura reunite to bring to life MFKZ, a dark but stunningly animated sci-fi vision mélange of anime, film noir, and Lucha Libre, which made its world premiere at the 2017 Annecy International Film Festival. The Fathom event will include an exclusive behind-the-scenes look and interview with the film's creators.
