The Muny announced today the directors, choreographers and music directors for The Muny’s 2022 season, which opens on June 13 with the celebrated return of the 2021 hit that audiences went “Whoopee!” for, the Tony Award-winning Chicago.

Ok, I’m going to date myself. Growing up I remember watching a wonderful little film called The Red Balloon. It started out as a book by Albert Lamorisse for which he then turned into a movie starring his son in 1956. It told the story of a little boy and an unlikely friendship he ends up having with a red balloon. The film had no dialogue and also had some really good photography shot on location in Paris.

Keen Co Artistic Director Jonathan Silverstein announced new guests for upcoming evenings of the FREE event, Keen After Hours: Heidi Armbruster & Paul Niebanck, who share the distinction of working on the most Keen productions, on April 5th, joining the previously announced Nick Blaemire tonight, March 22nd followed by Dan Domingues on March 29th.

The Muny announced today the directors, choreographers and music directors for its 2020 season, which opens June 15 with Kander and Ebb's internationally-acclaimed Chicago. Among the talented list are a mix of Muny favorites and newcomers. In addition to casting, a comprehensive list of design teams for each production will be released later this spring. Producers Suzanne Gilad & Larry Rogowsky announced today that the hit musical comedy THE OTHER JOSH COHEN will end its extended Off-Broadway run at the Westside Theatre on April 7, 2019. A National Tour will launch in 2020, cities and dates will be announced at a later date.

On June 14th, 2018, at Pines Manor in Edison, NJ, John McEwen, Executive Director of New Jersey Theatre Alliance ("the Alliance") will receive The Robert J. Smythe Award for Outstanding Professional Fundraiser from the New Jersey chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals ("AFP-NJ").
