The State Theatre Center for the Arts, Easton, PA, has announced its 2021-2022 Season, the 95th season at the historic venue.  Tickets for the new season will go on sale to State Theatre Members on Monday, August 2nd, and to the general public on Monday, August 9th.

Broadway at the Hobby Center will officially bring Houston’s protracted intermission to a close when the acclaimed Lincoln Center production of Lerner & Loewe’s MY FAIR LADY takes the Hobby Center stage September 14-19, 2021, marking the beginning of its 2021-22 season.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts today announced its 2021–2022 Theater season featuring hit Broadway musicals, acclaimed plays, Kennedy Center productions, special programming for the Center’s 50th Anniversary, and more, beginning in October 2021.

Ashley Spencer's concert, as part of the Seth Concert Series, premiered yesterday at 8pm and re-airs today at 3pm.

It was just announced that Jeremy Jordan will join Ashley Spencer with special guest Kara Lindsay as this weekend's guests on The Seth Concert Series, streaming on March 28 at 8pm ET with a replay of the concert on March 29 at 3pm ET.

Producer Mark Cortale has announced that six stars of the stage and screen will join the late-February - March 2021 line-up of The Seth Concert Series, the live weekly series based on Seth Rudetsky’s international Broadway series that began at The Art House in Provincetown ten years ago.

In FUNNY HOW IT HAPPENS, Jarrod and Kelli skillfully selected the songs they performed to incorporate songs meaningful to their relationship, songs significant to their careers, and songs that have traditionally been audience favorites.  Every song was an excellent choice, whether they performed them solo or as a duet.  Their harmony and stage chemistry resonate the deep connection of two performers who are deeply in love with each other and want to communicate that love to their audiences.  I enjoyed every song whether it was a song I was familiar with or not.  Among the songs were “Close to You,” “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough,” “Will You Love Me Tomorrow,” “Be My Baby,” “You’ve Got a Friend,” “Cabaret,” “I Got You, Babe,”  “New York State of Mind,” and even a lounge act arrangement of “You Give Love a Bad Name.”  The instrumentation, during this time of social distancing, was a solo piano, brilliantly played by Adam Ben David.   

Dates are announced today for the 2021/2022 Premera Blue Cross Broadway at The Paramount season bringing back extraordinary entertainment to The Paramount Theatre. They have announced that they have rescheduled six shows and were able to add back the previously cancelled production of MEAN GIRLS to complete the season package.

On January 19, I had the pleasure of speaking on the phone with a very friendly, personable, down to Earth, and classy Broadway power couple.   Jarrod Spector (“Jersey Boys,” “Beautiful: the Carole King musical, “The Cher Show”) and his wife Kelli Barrett (“Doctor Zhivago,” “Baby, It’s You,” “Wicked,” “The Royal Family”) spoke with me about their show FUNNY HOW IT HAPPENS, which they are scheduled to perform at the Ridgefield Playhouse in Ridgefield, CT on St. Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2021, at 4:00 PM and again at 8:00 PM.  This show includes comedy and musical numbers that reflect true stories about Jarrod and Kelli’s amazing journey towards their marriage and other shared experiences in their lives as a married couple.
