MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET, the award?winning new musical that tells the electrifying story of the night in 1956 when Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins and Jerry Lee Lewis came together to make music and ended up making history, will open at London's Noel Coward Theatre on 28 February 2011 with previews from 8 February 2011. Variety reports today that the biographical musical about composer Florence Greenberg by Million Dollar Quartet producer and book writer Floyd Mutrux is being prepped for a 2011 Broadway opening. Entitled Baby, It's You, the musical is aiming to open in the winter of 2011, co- directed by Mutrux and Sheldon Epps. Mutrux and Epps also collaborated on the Pasadena Playhouse production in November of 2009. The show premiered at the Coast Playhouse in Los Angeles prior to its Pasadena run.

MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET, Broadway's new musical sensation, is thrilled to announce that music legend Jerry Lee Lewis, the last surviving member of the real ‘Million Dollar Quartet,' will join the cast of the Tony nominated Best Musical for a special encore during the Friday evening, September 10 performance.

As BroadwayWorld had previously reported, the UK is abuzz with talks of MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET making its way across the pond. The show's official UK website seems to validate the rumors, as casting calls for the roles of Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley have been announced in Glasgow, London, Liverpool, Bristol, and Dublin. No word as to whether or not the show is West End-bound specifically or if any of the original Broadway cast members will be making the move.
