A Tony Award winner for Best Musical, the show is based on an unfinished novel by Charles Dickens. As the novel was left incomplete, so is the show - up to a point. When the cast reaches the part in the story where Dickens left off, they put a vote to the audience at each performance as to how the show will end. Among the many fans of Michele Brourman at her show Love Notes at the Birdland Theater last night were a host of singers, songwriters and theatrical folks. They came to hear one of our most gifted singer/songwriter and pianists probably best known for her collaboration and partnership with Amanda McBroom and for composing the song, “”My Favorite Year” It's been recorded by Michael Feinstein, Dame Cleo Laine and Margaret Whiting among others. Hearing an artist perform her own material is always an extra special treat and in Michele's case she also brings her artistry at the keyboard to the experience which enhances every nuance of her music. Michele's phrasing and harmonies are the perfect fit for her haunting, funny, and moving songs.

Michele's best-loved song 'My Favorite Year,' has been recorded by the Ambassador of the American Songbook, Michael Feinstein as well as by Dame Cleo Laine, and the late singing icon, Margaret Whiting. With longtime collaborator Amanda McBroom, she has written the songs for 18 animated features for Universal Studios as well as the score for the musical 'Dangerous Beauty.'

The University of Hawai'i at Mānoa's Department of Theatre and Dance and Kennedy Theatre will be hosting a celebration of the life and career of Terence a?oeTerrya?? Knapp on Saturday, October 19, 2019. Doors will open at 5:00pm, participants will be welcome to visit with one another on the upper lanai; the formal Celebration will begin at 5:30pm in the Kennedy Theatre auditorium. Admission is free and open to the public.

Rubicon Theatre Company announces two performances of an intimate concert featuring Golden Globe Award-Winner and Grammy nominee Amanda McBroom, presented as part of the 2018-2019 Janet and Mark L. Goldenson Broadway Concert Series. Amanda McBroom, a Rubicon favorite both as a singer and actress, returns to Rubicon with a concert version of her hit play Lady Macbeth Sings the Blues on Saturday June 8 at 8p.m. and Sunday June 9 at 2 p.m.

Skylight Theatre Company (Producing Artistic Director, Gary Grossman and Co-Artistic Director Tony Abatemarco) announced today the world premiere of BRONCO BILLY - THE MUSICAL, It marks the organization's first world premiere musical production. The new musical, based on the Warner Bros. film Bronco Billy, features a book by Dennis Hackin, lyrics and music by Chip Rosenbloom and John Torres, with additional lyrics by Michele Brourman. Hunter Bird will direct. Preview performances begin on May 10, with the official press opening on Saturday, May 18, 2019. Little Girl Blue, plays at Don't Tell Mama on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at 7 pm. Jaffe explores the classic songs and standards of the great female artists June Christy, Carmen McRae, Cleo Laine and Rosemary Clooney, and the music of composers ranging from Rogers and Hart to Leonard Bernstein.
