Like a bat out of hell, Bat Out of Hell is flying to New York City Center, where the Jim Steinman musical officially it just began its run yesterday, August 1. The musical is set to open on August 8, and will play a six-week engagement through September 8, 2019.

Portland, Maine Mayor Ethan Strimling will present Guster with the Key to the City this Friday, August 9th on the patio of 94.3 WCYY at One City Center. The band is being honored for making Portland their a?oeSecond Hometown.a?? Guster has been playing sold-out concerts in Portland for the past twenty years and chose the city to be the home of their On The Ocean Festival when it launched in 2017.

Baryshnikov Arts Center (BAC) presents the World Premiere of HERZ SCHMERZ, a work co-conceived by award-winning choreographer John Heginbotham and acclaimed author, painter, and illustrator Maira Kalman. Following the duo's debut collaboration The Principles of Uncertainty in 2017, this new dance-play is based on the written work of early 20th-century Swiss author Robert Walser. Performances are Thursdaya?"Saturday, October 10a?"12, at 7:30pm, at BAC's Jerome Robbins Theater, 450 West 37th Street in Manhattan.

The Martha Graham Dance Company announces the 2019–20 season of its popular Studio Series, which offers audiences a behind-the-scenes look at the work of the Company in the intimate setting of the Martha Graham Studio Theater. Normal Ave and Leigh Honigman will present the World Premiere of Of the Woman Came the Beginning of Sin and Through Her We All Die, written by Lily Houghton and directed by Kylie M. Brown at the Medicine Show Theatre (549 W 52nd St, 3rd Floor New York, NY 10019), October 3-20. Tickets ($20-$30) will go on sale September 1. The performance will run approximately 90 minutes, with no intermission.
