STAGES St. Louis has announced the casting for their upcoming production of JERSEY BOYS that will play September 24 – October 24, 2021 at The Ross Family Theater in the new Kirkwood Performing Arts Center. The cast will be headlined by Christopher Kale Jones who is best known for playing Frankie Valli in the 1st National Tour of JERSEY BOYS. With a book written by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, JERSEY BOYS takes an exhilarating journey into the cultural phenomenon that is Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons. The show features 30 show stopping performances of the hits that took the group all the way to the top of the charts, including: “Sherry,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” and “Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You.”

Academy and Grammy Award Winning composer, Stephen Schwartz (Music and Lyrics), John Caird (Book), and an A-list Chicago artistic team are in collaboration to mount a revamped production of Children of Eden, a musical freely based on the Book of Genesis, in the Chicago area, scheduled to open Summer 2021.

With nearly all of Chicago's theatre productions shuttered, one of the first fundraisers primarily aimed at a streaming audience is being put together by The Beautiful City Project, a Chicago-based musical theatre company that exists solely as a fundraising arm for local charities and non-profits.

Due to popular demand, Goodman Theatre adds eight performances to its run of The Music Man, staged by Tony Award-winning Director Mary Zimmerman-now appearing through August 11. The Coachella Valley Symphony presents UNDER THE STREETLAMP on Saturday, April 27 at 7:00 pm at The McCallum Theatre in Palm Desert. Inspired by the classic hits of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, The Everly Brothers, The Beatles, Roy Orbison, The Beach Boys, Bobby Darin and others, UNDER THE STREETLAMP re-imagines the best music of the 50's, 60's, and 70's for today's audiences. I had the chance to catch up with one of the incredible singers, Brandon Wardell, to talk about his life and career and Under The Streetlamp as he prepares to head out to the desert, Here are a few experts from that conversation:

Director Linda Fortunato has cast Neil Friedman as Kris Kringle, Stella Rose Hoyt as Susan, Courtney Jones as Doris and Christopher Kale Jones as Fred for Theatre at the Center's Miracle On 34th Street: The Musical. Previews began November 15 with Opening Night on November 18 and a continued run through December 23. This production is sponsored in part by American Community Bank.

Janet Ulrich Brooks, making her Theatre at the Center (TATC) debut, is cast as advice columnist Ann Landers in the TATC production of The Lady With All the Answers. Opening Night was on July 15.  Performances continuing through August 12.

Christopher Kale Jones, who sang his way into hearts nationwide as Frankie Valli in Jersey Boys, will embody the dazzling versatility, passionate voice and quiet charm of Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Bobby Darin in Darin: Bobby's Biggest Hits, Aug. 11-12 at the Temple of Music & Arts, 330 S. The spirit of the holiday season continues at The Granada Theatre on Saturday, December 9, 2017 with the joyous sounds of Under The Streetlamp: Hip to the Holidays. Featuring recent leading cast members of the Tony Award-winning musical Jersey Boys, Under The Streetlamp invites you to sing along to holiday classics, Doo Wop hits, and Christmas songs from their live PBS Specials and studio album, Every Day's a Holiday.

Under the Streetlamp is a concert celebration of classic hits of the American Radio Songbook from the 1950s to the 1970s, featuring former leading cast members of hit Broadway musicals including "Jersey Boys."
