Violinist Sarah Fazendin will lead the Broadway North American tour of Rodgers and Hammerstein's The Sound of Music as concertmaster. Set to launch September 9, 2025 at The Kennedy Center, this national Broadway tour will continue into 2026.

The complete cast has been announced for the new national tour of The Sound of Music, launching September 5–6, 2025, in Utica, NY, and starring Cayleigh Capaldi, Kevin Earley, and Christiane Noll under the direction of Jack O’Brien.

International screenings for the 60th anniversary of The Sound of Music will take place for a limited time beginning September 20. In the United States, the movie will be available to see from September 12-17, and in Canada on September 13, 14, and 17.

The Sound of Music movie is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year. To commemorate the occasion, the TODAY Show dedicated a segment to the iconic film on Friday, taking viewers to Salzburg, where the movie was filmed and the real events took place. Watch the behind-the-scenes look now.

In honor of International Women’s Day, BroadwayWorld, in association with Pass the Salt Productions is thrilled to present the short musical film, ALL THE WORLD’S A STAGE. Executive producer and co-creator Sarah Bierstock joined forces with director and co-creator Desiree Abeyta to showcase an all-star Broadway cast featuring J. Max Baker (One Christmas Carol), Charl Brown (Tammy Faye), Kristy Cates (Wicked), Paige Davis (Chicago), Kim Berrios Lin (Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin), Miranda Plant Byers (Love, Medea), Christiane Noll (Dear Evan Hansen),  Zal Owen (Harmony), Andrew O’Shanick (Harmony), Shina Ann Morris (Spamalot), Patrick Page (Hadestown).  The film is rounded out by an all-female powerhouse producing team of Miranda Plant Byers, Jennifer Diamond, Jennifer Piech Pasbjerg, and Danielle Lemberg (Seward and Kissel, LLP).  

This March, Broadway is coming to Wheeling! The Wheeling Symphony Orchestra (WSO) will present Bravo Broadway!, their second Pops performance of the season, on Friday, March 21, at 7:30 pm.
