BWW Review: Two Green Thumbs Up for the Stratford Festival's LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS

If you are in Stratford, Ontario and are looking for a good time, look no further than this season's production of horror comedy rock musical LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS. There aren't a whole lot of shows that can call themselves a horror comedy rock musical, but if you frequent these parts…or, you know, have a pulse, chances are you saw one last year too. The success of last season's THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW has sent the message that audiences get a kick out of the subversive escape that this kind of show can offer, and so, Director/Choreographer Donna Feore is serving up another delicious hit in the same vein as ROCKY HORROR (puns intended).

The energy level was strong all the way through, and aside from being a non-stop party, Chris's vocals were flawless.” The USAA-sponsored tour, also the fastest-rising single of Young's career, currently at #14 Mediabase and Billboard, played standout shows to packed houses in Buffalo, NY, Albany, NY and Holmdel, NJ over Memorial Day weekend.

CMA Fest Reveals Xfinity Fan Fair X Stage Lineups

CMA Fest has announced additional performances and appearances at Xfinity Fan Fair X, CMA Fest's Ultimate Country Music Fan Experience, where fans get up close and personal with their favorite artists. Xfinity Fan Fair X returns to Music City Center for action-packed entertainment daily from 9:30 AM – 5:00 PM Thursday, June 6 through Sunday, June 9, featuring three stages with artist panels and performances, meet-and-greets, music and lifestyle exhibits, prize giveaways and more. Admission to Xfinity Fan Fair X is open to all four-day CMA Fest pass holders and Xfinity Fan Fair X ticket holders. Tickets can be purchased for $10 per day or $25 for all four days at CMAfest.com/tickets.

National YoungArts Foundation Celebrates 2019 U.S. Presidential Scholars In The Arts

The National YoungArts Foundation (YoungArts) congratulates the 55th class of U.S. Presidential Scholars, with special acknowledgement to the 20 U.S. Presidential Scholars in the Arts who are YoungArts winners. The U.S. Presidential Scholars award one of the nation's highest honors for high school students who exemplify academic excellence is presented on behalf of the President of the United States and honors up to 161 graduating high school seniors of high potential each year. The U.S. Presidential Scholars in the Arts (full list below) were nominated by YoungArts to The White House Commission on Presidential Scholars and selected based on academic and artistic excellence, leadership qualities and community service. For students who would like to be considered for this outstanding honor in the future, the YoungArts application opens on June 4, 2019 at youngarts.org/apply.

Platinum-selling, multi-instrumentalist, and singer/songwriter Chris Janson adds to his nominations resume in 2019, as the poignant video for his hit single “Drunk Girl” is up for CMT's “Video of the Year” award. “Raised On Country World Tour 2019,” Chris Young's highly anticipated follow-up to his massive 2018 “Losing Sleep Tour,” kicked off last night with a sold-out show in Manchester, England as the capacity crowd at times overpowered the PA to bring the show to a sing along. “The Manchester crowd definitely came to party, the audience was unbelievable last night,” said Young. The multi-platinum entertainer's first-ever headlining play in Manchester marks the RCA Records Nashville artist's fourth UK tour in six years.
