Ten new public sculptures made entirely from discarded pianos, including a six-metre-tall tripod of giant elephant  tusks, will celebrate the piano's pivotal role in our musical heritage for a free public event as part of the Leeds International Piano Competition this September.

Broadway superstar and Tony Award-nominee Adam Pascal (Rent, AIDA, Something Rotten) will once again step into the well-heeled shoes of Edward Lewis after thrilling audiences on Broadway for a limited set of performances in 2019. He will be joined by rising star Olivia Valli (Jersey Boys, Wicked) as the charming and charismatic Vivian Ward.

Artisan Children's Theater  will present THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE at its 150 seat Second Stage facility. The theater is located at 444 East Pipeline Road in Hurst. The show runs September 3 through October 2, 2021.

Southwest Florida's regional opera company - Gulfshore Opera - will bring the dramatic beauty of Puccini's Tosca to all three counties as the finale for Season 8. For a company known for pioneering, this full-scale production will also mark some wonderful and historic partnerships.

Written by Miriam Pultro and directed by Daniella Caggiano, the piece reimagines the literary siblings' childhood fantasy creation, Glass Town, as a contemporary indie rock band. This one-hour concert keeps the workshop cast intact, with Pultro as Charlotte (vox/keys), Katrien Van Riel as Emily (music director, vox/bass), Eddy Marshall as Branwell (vox/guitar), and Emma Claye as Anne (vox). They are supported by Matt DeMaria on drums, Laura Zawarski on violin, Anthime Miller on cello, and Alex Petti on guitar.

The producers of the RENT 25th Anniversary Farewell Tour, the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning landmark rock musical written by Jonathan Larson, have announced casting for the final year of the national tour, which kicks off in October.

Seth Rudetsky and James Wesley announced today that their live and in person Stars in the House at The Town Hall will be rescheduled to Monday, October 25th at 8:00 PM, consistent with Theatre Authority guidelines.

Nardia Ruth will join the production as Nefertari from Friday 17 September 2021. Nardia is a 2021 graduate of London’s Royal Academy of Music and a Disney Theatrical Productions Scholar and an Ian Fleming Musical Theatre Award recipient. The role of Nefertari in The Prince of Egypt will mark Nardia’s professional and West End debut. 

Hunter Theater Project presents an Independent Theater Production of WHAT HAPPENED?: THE MICHAELS ABROAD, a world premiere play and the final in the Rhinebeck Panorama, written and directed by Tony Award winner Richard Nelson.

National treasure Daniel Lanois will perform songs from his latest album, Heavy Sun, as well as a fine selection of hits from his impressive repertoire. Contemporary soul and R&B's rising star Charlotte Day Wilson will preview songs from her debut album, Alpha, released last month. As for Ranee Lee, she will present a concert that pays tribute to female vocal jazz legends. Let's also mention that renowned Montreal jazz pianist François Bourassa will celebrate the 25th anniversary of his eponymous quartet which also includes Guy Boisvert on bass, André Leroux on saxophone and Guillaume Pilote on drums.

Charlotte Libov, a winner of MetropolitanZoom's 2021 giveaway contest, delivered a fun and pleasant collection of songs from the Broadway, film, and pop repertoires.

Cult rock heroes Alkaline Trio will be hitting the road this fall on a co-headlining run with Bad Religion.

Charlotte-area nonprofit Diversity On & Off Stage will host a free event on Monday, August 30 in honor of its first year as an organization in the Charlotte area. The event will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. at The Square at Spirit Square (345 N. College St).
