Richmond Triangle Players continues its 29th season with Donja R. Love's powerful and evocative Sugar in Our Wounds. The show will preview on Wednesday and Thursday April 20 and 21st, open on April 22, and will run through Saturday May 14.

The Magic Flute by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart will return to Toronto this May, celebrating 70 years of delighting audiences at the Canadian Opera Company. The fantastical opera centres on the timeless search for wisdom, truth, and love, following Tamino as he sets out with hilarious bird-catcher Papageno to rescue the kidnapped Princess Pamina.

Stephen K Amos will play the role of Alfred P. Doolittle. Stephen is a BAFTA award-winning comedian whose stage work includes My Night With Reg and One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest. Malcolm Sinclair will play the role of Colonel Pickering. Malcolm has performed in more than 50 theatrical productions and was nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the 2019 Olivier Awards for his performance in Pressure at The Ambassador's Theatre.

Netflix and Shondaland today announced the cast of the limited series based on the origins of the historical figure Queen Charlotte. While the project is untitled, the series centers on the rise and love life of a young Queen Charlotte, it will also focus on Violet Bridgerton and Lady Danbury.

North Carolina Theatre has announced the full cast for Ring of Fire with music and lyrics by Johnny Cash directed by Randy Redd, who was a part of the Original Broadway cast of Ring of Fire.  Performances will run from April 29 – May 8 at A.J. Fletcher Opera Theater at the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Raleigh.
