North Carolina Theatre today announced a last-minute cast change for Margaret Edson's WIT, opening tomorrow, April 29th. Kate Goehring will step into the lead role of 'Vivian Bearing, Ph.D.' replacing Judy McLane, who has withdrawn from the production due to personal reasons.

North Carolina Theatre, the region's premier nonprofit professional regional theatre, just announced full casting for their eagerly anticipated production of Margaret Edson's Wit. The Pulitzer Prize-winning play will be led by Broadway's Judy McLane (Vivan Bearing, Ph.D) and feature Tony Award®-winner Daisy Eagan (Susie Monahan, R.N., B.S.N.). The thought-provoking story will run in the AJ Fletcher Opera Theater at the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Raleigh, April 29-May 8, 2016.

NERDS Cast Reacts to Broadway Postponement

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, nerds, a new musical comedy about the rise and rivalry of tech trailblazers Bill Gates and Steve Jobs, will postpone its Broadway run. A national tour of the production is in the works. The show had just finalized and announced its cast in late February, at the start of rehearsals. nerds was scheduled to begin previews on April 1 and open on April 21 at the Longacre Theatre. Producers Carl Levin, Vicki Halmos, Elizabeth Williams, Greenleaf Productions and Clear Channel Spectacular announced today that nerds, a new musical comedy about the rise and rivalry of tech trailblazers Bill Gates and Steve Jobs, will postpone its Broadway run. The new musical dot-comedy Nerds will open at Broadway's Longacre Theatre on April 21st, 2016 following preview performances which were previously announced as beginning March 31st, but it appears previews have been bumped by a day. According to the Telecharge website, the show will begin previews on April 1st instead.
