Remy Bumppo Theatre Company has announced the cast for the second show of its 2019-2020 season, TOP GIRLS, playing January 16 - February 22, 2020 at Theater Wit, 1229 W. Belmont Avenue in Chicago.

The Donmar Warehouse announces casting for Lyndsey Turner's new production of Caryl Churchill's Far Away. BAFTA-winning actress Jessica Hynes will make her Donmar debut in the role of Harper alongside Aisling Loftus as Joan and Simon Manyonda as Todd. Casting for the role of Young Joan is to be announced at a later date.

Fortune's Fool Theatre will present the Midwest premiere of Dog Act, a postapocalyptic vaudeville by Liz Duffy Adams, December 7-22 at Gremlin Theatre, 550 Vandalia St., St. Paul. Ben Layne will direct, and the cast will be led by Ariel Leaf (Zetta Stone) and Joe Wiener (Dog).

Polly Findlay will direct Roger Allam and Colin Morgan in Caryl Churchill's play A Number at the Bridge Theatre. Previews begin on 14 February 2020 with the opening night on 19 February and final performance on 14 March 2020. Booking opens today to Bridge Priority members; public booking opens at 10am on 22 November 2019.

New York Theatre Workshop announced today that the NYTW 2020 Gala will honor NYTW Usual Suspect & Tony Award-winning director Rachel Chavkin (Hadestown, Light Shining in Buckinghamshire, Three Pianos at NYTW) and Tony Award-winning producer Jordan Roth (Hadestown). The Gala will be held on Monday, February 3 at Capitale (130 Bowery, New York, NY 10013).

The Donmar Warehouse announces the full cast for Teenage Dick, Mike Lew's darkly comic take on Shakespeare's Richard III, directed by Donmar Artistic Director Michael Longhurst. Caryl Churchill's 1982 play Top Girls has so much to say about women that it is staggering to realize that it is no less relevant thirty-seven years later. However it speaks to today, it does so from within an elliptical, non-linear narrative structure emblematic of the time of its creation.

Loretta Greco, Artistic Director of Magic Theatre, has announced that she will depart the organization after twelve years as its artistic leader. Jen Rowe and Brandon Woolley are teaming up to launch The Theatre Company in Portland, OR. They will oversee the artistic vision of the company as CoArtistic Directors with their first season beginning in 2020. As staples in the Portland theatre community in multiple roles (director, actor, casting director, producer), these two thirty-somethings plan to present Portland premieres of timely, socially relevant, and culturally conscious plays. The Theatre Company's mission is to enliven their community by transforming found spaces with bold, theatrical endeavors. Their inaugural two-show season will premier in March 2020 with The Moors by Jen Silverman and Vinegar Tom by Carol Churchill in October 2020. Woolley directs and Rowe leads the cast of The Moors as Huldey in a production that will transform Copeland Commons at TaborSpace in Southeast Portland. Rowe directs Churchill's Vinegar Tom staged at The Hallowed Halls, a recording studio at Holgate and 64th Avenue in Southeast Portland. 

Curious Theatre Branch continues its 31st season with a world premiere from Curious Co-Founder Beau O'Reilly, A Packet of Holiness and Joy Will Come to You?  (A Fable), November 1 - December 1 at Prop Thtr, 3502 N. Elston Ave. Press Night is Friday, Nov. 1 at 8 p.m.
