Jersey City Theater Center in partnership with I Love Greenville and the Greenville Community Plan will present a virtual schooltime commemoration for International Holocaust Remembrance Day on Wednesday, January 27, 9:30 a.m., at the Academy of the Arts at Henry Snyder High School.

If you're doing a Staycation and want to do something fun but active while at home, you can register to participate in NJ Summer (Virtual) Dance with the renowned Carolyn Dorfman Dance. Since 2008, NJ Summer Dance (NJSD) has been offered for one week every August for dancers of all abilities ages 13 or older.

Over the past two months, two choreographers and 15 dancers have reached across the Atlantic Ocean to create a short work, 'Alone/Together,' which will be premiered on July 15, via Facebook Premiere at 9:00 DST or 21:00 CEST and then will be available on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube using @cdorfmandance and on Vimeo.

Carolyn Dorfman Dance will host the third annual Dance Union Festival at the Hamilton Stage in Rahway on February 6, 7 and 9. Registration for this popular celebration of dance is now open for programs that include master classes, open rehearsals, professional development, and a culminating performance.

New Jersey City University (NJCU) and Jersey City Theater Center (JCTC) will present a school-time commemoration for International Holocaust Remembrance Day on Thursday, January 23, at 9:45 a.m. with Carolyn Dorfman Dance, a premiere modern dance company based in New Jersey and New York City, to be held at Margaret Williams Theatre in the University's Hepburn Hall located at 2039 Kennedy Boulevard in Jersey City. Tickets for this special program are only $8.00.

At an audition held on October 17, Adam Robert Dickerson and Shawn Lesniak were selected by Artistic Director Michael Novak to join the world-renowned Paul Taylor Dance Company. Quinton Guthier was chosen to join the acclaimed Taylor 2.

Carolyn Dorfman Dance, a premiere modern dance company based in New Jersey and New York City, makes their debut performance at the new Madison Community Arts Center at 10 Kings Road, on Sunday, November 17, at 3:00 p.m. Tickets for the limited space venue are $20.00 for adults and $10.00 for students.

Carolyn Dorfman Dance, a premiere modern dance company based in New Jersey and New York City, will make a special appearance in Orlando at the Dr. Phillips High School Auditorium, 6500 Turkey Lake Road, on Saturday, October 19 at 7:30 p.m. The performance is a mid-residency event by the dance company which begins on Tuesday, October 15th and includes a residency at Dr. Phillips High School in which the company will teach daily master classes and set a work on student dancers. Master Classes for high school, college and the public will take place during the week from Orlando to Tampa.

Last year, in 2018, the third annual Dancers For Good Benefit supporting the Actors Fund Dancers Resource in East Hampton was so impressive that I challenged the founders to 'high-kick it up a notch even higher next year'. I'm thrilled to announce that not only did they clearly accept that challenge, they superseded all expectations!

The fourth annual Dancers For Good Benefit, supporting The Actors Fund, brought a multitude of talented, world-class dancers to Guild Hall in East Hampton. TONY Award-winning actress, Cady Huffman graciously hosted the evening, delivering a light-hearted and cheerful tone as she led the event, which honored Jerry Mitchell, Bob Fosse and Gwen Verdon.

Dancers For Good, the magical celebration of dance, will bring world-class companies, choreographers, dancers and performers under one roof for one night only for a charity event benefiting The Actors Fund, an organization that fosters stability and resiliency, and provides a safety net for performing arts and entertainment professionals over their lifespan.

Seven women choreographers and their companies share resources and collaborate for this one week festival of dance.  Each performance of Women/Create! contains four selections.  In addition to experiencing the enjoyment of varied works and styles, the choreographers spoke to the audience after the first piece ended.  Jennifer Muller set the tone for the evening with 'I truly believe that movement is a language which can speak and heal the world.'
