San Diego Theatre Critics Circle Reveal 2013 Craig Noel Award Nominees

Dominating the nominations in the musical category is the current Broadway sensation 'A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder,' which made its world premiere in February 2013 at San Diego's The Old Globe (a co-production with Hartford Stage). The musical racked up 11 nominations, including nods for New Musical, its versatile star Jefferson Mays (a UC San Diego alumnus) and its director Darko Tresnjak (former co-artistic director and Shakespeare Festival director at The Old Globe).

Caroline Kinsolving & Jeff Meek to Lead San Diego Rep's VENUS IN FUR

San Diego REPertory Theatre (San Diego REP) presents 'Venus In Fur' by David Ives as the third installment of the company's 38th season. 'Venus In Fur' is a production The New York Times calls '90 minutes of good, kinky fun.' Directed by San Diego REP Co-Founder and Artistic Director Sam Woodhouse, previews for 'Venus In Fur' begin Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013. Opening night is Friday, Nov. 15, 2013 and runs through Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013 in the Lyceum Space.

The Old Globe's TWELFTH NIGHT Will Tour Schools

Recognizing the importance of exposure to the arts in the development and education of young people, The Old Globe today announced a special hour-long production of William Shakespeare's Twelfth Night that will tour San Diego County middle and high schools. This imaginative, fun and accessible production is an ideal introduction to the wonders of Shakespeare. The production, which will tour from April 22 through May 17, 2013, is now available for booking and will cost schools $500 for one performance and $400 for a second performance at the same school on the same day. Discounts and scholarships are available to Title One schools. The Globe's tour of Twelfth Night, directed by Nelson Eusebio III, is part of Shakespeare for a New Generation, a national program of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest. Laguna Playhouse to Present CHAPTER TWO, Opening 1/12

Laguna Playhouse will present the fourth show of their 2012-2013 season, CHAPTER TWO, written by Neil Simon and directed by Andrew Barnicle. The cast of CHAPTER TWO will feature Geoffrey Lower, Kevin Ashworth, Leslie Stevens and Caroline Kinsolving. CHAPTER TWO will preview on Tuesday, January 8; Wednesday, January 9; Thursday, January 10 and Friday, January 11 at 8:00pm and will open on Saturday, January 12 at 7:30pm and run through Sunday, February 3, 2013 at the Laguna Playhouse, 606 Laguna Canyon Road in Laguna Beach.
