Gingold Theatrical Group's 13th Season of Project Shaw, a special series of evenings offering some of Shaw's greatest works and those of his contemporaries, presented monthly at Symphony Space's Leonard Nimoy, continued on June 18th with Buoyant Billions, one of Shaw's wittiest and least known plays.

The show opens today, June 3 and runs through June 19 with performances Thursday thru Saturday at 8pm and Sundays at 2pm. A special, 'first Saturday' matinee will be held on Saturday June 4 at 2pm.

Dominating the nominations in the musical category is the current Broadway sensation 'A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder,' which made its world premiere in February 2013 at San Diego's The Old Globe (a co-production with Hartford Stage). The musical racked up 11 nominations, including nods for New Musical, its versatile star Jefferson Mays (a UC San Diego alumnus) and its director Darko Tresnjak (former co-artistic director and Shakespeare Festival director at The Old Globe).

'Venus In Fur' is a production The New York Times calls '90 minutes of good, kinky fun.' Directed by San Diego REP Co-Founder and Artistic Director Sam Woodhouse, previews for 'Venus In Fur' begin Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013. Opening night is Friday, Nov. 15, 2013 and runs through Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013 in the Lyceum Space.
Recognizing the importance of exposure to the arts in the development and education of young people, The Old Globe today announced a special hour-long production of William Shakespeare's Twelfth Night that will tour San Diego County middle and high schools. This imaginative, fun and accessible production is an ideal introduction to the wonders of Shakespeare. The production, which will tour from April 22 through May 17, 2013, is now available for booking and will cost schools $500 for one performance and $400 for a second performance at the same school on the same day. Discounts and scholarships are available to Title One schools. The Globe's tour of Twelfth Night, directed by Nelson Eusebio III, is part of Shakespeare for a New Generation, a national program of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest.
