BWW Feature: The Real MVPs! - A VIP Reception at the Drama League Awards

On Friday, May 20, 2022, one hour before the Drama League Awards, Board President Bonnie Comley, Kirk Iwanowski, Mary Jain, and the Board Hosted a VIP Reception at the Drama League Awards right next to the Ziegfeld Ballroom. While the Drama League Distinguished Performance nominees were lining up for the dais, a cocktail party was in full swing in the adjacent ballroom.

Tonys season is here at last and we have photos of all the 2022 Tonys Nominees. The nominations for the biggest Broadway awards ceremony were announced last week on Monday, May 9. Leading the pack was A Strange Loop with eleven nominations, followed closely by MJ and Paradise Square, with ten nominations each.

The Drama League today announced the 2022 Drama League Awards Nominees and we've got all the nominations for for Outstanding Production of a Play, Outstanding Revival of a Play, Outstanding Production of a Musical, Outstanding Revival of a Musical, Outstanding Direction of a Play, Outstanding Direction of a Musical, and the much-coveted Distinguished Performance Award.

TAKE ME OUT Extends Run Through June 11th

Second Stage Theater (Carole Rothman, President and Artistic Director; Khady Kamara, Executive Director) has announced that its hit production of TAKE ME OUT has been extended for two additional weeks on Broadway and will now run through Saturday, June 11th.  Written by Richard Greenberg and directed by Scott Ellis, TAKE ME OUT officially opened to rave reviews on April 4th at Second Stage’s Hayes Theater (240 West 44th Street).

2ST Theater Announces The 2022 Judith Champion New Voices Reading Series

THE 2022 JUDITH CHAMPION NEW VOICES READING SERIES will kick off with Toros by Danny Tejera, directed by David Mendizábal, on January 18, 2022, followed by The Sensational Sea Mink-ettes by Vivian J.O. Barnes, directed by Cristina Angeles, on January 24, and will conclude with Yellow Dream$ by Susan Xu, directed by May Adrales on January 31.
