Second Stage Theater (Carole Rothman, President and Artistic Director) will hold a special book signing for the acclaimed children's book The Best At It following the Wednesday, February 26 2pm performance of GRAND HORIZONS at the Hayes Theater (240 W 44th Street). The event will be for ticket holders only.

The Bucks County Playhouse is one of the most historic theaters in the country. Its wooden walls practically brim over with a sense of magic, holding within them the vast legacy of performers and creatives who made their impact upon its stage. Names like Grace Kelly, Robert Redford, Neil Simon, Helen Hayes, Angela Lansbury... and that's the short list. One of the people currently contributing to the Playhouse's legacy in a big way is Alexander Fraser, who came onboard the Bucks County Playhouse team as Producing Director in January of 2014.

The Hayes theatre was hoppin' last night as Grand Horizons officially opened on Broadway.  Written by Bess Wohl and directed by Leigh Silverman, GRAND HORIZONS stars Jane Alexander (Nancy), James Cromwell (Bill), Priscilla Lopez (Carla), Ben McKenzie (Ben), Maulik Pancholy (Tommy), Ashley Park (Jess), and Michael Urie (Brian).

Second Stage Theater will soon present WE'RE GONNA DIE, a show performed by Janelle McDermoth (A Bronx Tale), will be part of the company's current 41st season. WE'RE GONNA DIE is written by Young Jean Lee (Straight White Men) and directed & choreographed by Raja Feather Kelly, featuring original music by Young Jean Lee and Tim Simmonds, additional music by John-Michael Lyles, and lyrics by Young Jean Lee. Music supervision and arrangements are by Remy Kurs with orchestrations by Cian McCarthy.

After three extensions, the WP Theater (Lisa McNulty, Producing Artistic Director; Michael Sag, Managing Director) and Second Stage Theater (Carole Rothman, President & Artistic Director) production of Alexis Scheer's OUR DEAR DEAD DRUG LORD, directed by Whitney White, and produced by Benjamin Simpson, Joseph Longthorne and Jana Shea, will play its final performance on Sunday, January 5.

Grand Horizons will play a strictly limited 10-week engagement, beginning previews December 20, 2019 at The Hayes Theater (240 West 44th Street), and officially opening on January 23, 2020.

Second Stage Theater just celebrated opening night of the world premiere of Will Eno's The Underlying Chris. Directed by Tony Award winner Kenny Leon, the production will feature Hannah Cabell, Michael Countryman, Denise Burse, Nicholas Hutchinson, Lenne Klingaman, Lizbeth MacKay, Nidra Sous La Terre, Howard Overshown, Isabella Russo, Charles Turner, And Luis Vega.

Sony Masterworks Broadway just announced the December 6 release of SUPERHERO (ORIGINAL CAST RECORDING) with music and lyrics by Pulitzer Prize, Tony and Emmy Award-winning composer Tom Kitt (Jagged Little Pill, Next to Normal, If/Then) and book by Tony and Golden Globe Award-winning writer John Logan (Moulin Rouge! ADAMS will make his Broadway debut opposite the previously announced Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Jesse Williams in the Broadway production of Richard Greenberg's Tony Award-winning play, TAKE ME OUT. Second Stage Theater is currently presenting the New York premiere of Make Believe. Written by Bess Wohl and directed by Michael Greif, Make Believe will feature Kim Fischer, Susannah Flood, Ryan Foust, Harrison Fox, Maren Heary, Casey Hilton, Brad Heberlee, and Samantha Mathis.

Broadway In Boston announced today that individual tickets for the Boston premiere of DEAR EVAN HANSEN will go on sale Sunday, March 24, 2019. Dear Evan Hansen will play the Citizens Bank Opera House July 10 - August 4 as part of the 2018-2019 Lexus Broadway In Boston Season.
