The Broadway League and The Coalition of Broadway Unions and Guilds (COBUG) have announced that Sarah Bockel, who recently starred as Carole King in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical will perform a?oeYou've Got A Frienda?? at the 11th annual Broadway Salutes ceremony. Ms. Bockel will be accompanied by Rick Hip-Flores.

Launching Chiswick Playhouse's inaugural season, from 30th October to 30th November, is the UK premiere of the revamped, brand-new version of I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change. After playing over 5,000 performances off-Broadway, this hilarious and poignant musical comedy was substantially re-written in 2018 to reflect the challenges facing the romantics of today. It is now presented for the first time in the UK with a stellar West End cast and direction from Charlotte Westenra (Kiss of the Spiderman, Donmar Warehouse; Frost/Nixon, Michael Grandage Company as Associate Director).

Broadway and Disney royalty Susan Egan gave audiences a special treat during the Broadway Princess Party's recent return to Feinstein's/54 Below as she performed the original song 'Where Have All the Mothers Gone' with lyrics by Egan and music by Brian Haner. 'Girl, where you been?' asks a voice at the very beginning of the title track, and first release, of A Girl Called Eddy's sublime second album, Been Around. All things considered, it's a fair question. Fourteen years have passed since her self-titled debut, produced by Richard Hawley, became something of a cult favorite with her voice and song-writing talent winning fulsome praise and not-hyperbolic comparisons to Karen Carpenter and Carole King. 

Acclaimed recording artists and Madonna's famed backup singers Niki Haris and Donna De Lory will reunite for a night of nostalgia in which they share the soundtrack of their lives at Mmhmmm in the Standard Hotel in West Hollywood on Friday, November 22, at 7:30pm, it was announced today by Chris Isaacson Presents.

Beautiful: The Carole King Musical ended its Broadway run yesterday, October 27th, 2019, after having played 60 preview and 2,418 regular performances, surpassing the original production of Annie and the landmark 1998 revival of Cabaret to become the 27th longest-running musical (and the 2nd longest running 'bio-musical') in Broadway history.

 Broadway star Chilina Kennedy returns to Stratford for a one night only in-concert performance of Leslie Arden's acclaimed Canadian musical THE HOUSE OF MARTIN GUERRE. Stratford audiences may remember Ms. Kennedy from her much lauded lead performances in WEST SIDE STORY, EVITA, and JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR to name just a few. Since then, she transferred to Broadway with the rest of the company of JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, and then played over a thousand performances on Broadway as the title character in BEAUTIFUL: THE CAROLE KING MUSICAL.
