Thursday, December 13, 2012 at The Duplex in New York's West Village. According to Time Out New York, 'The Meeting* has become a cult hit among a young, festive and culturally aware crowd. Sayre is an avatar of modern-retro cultivation.'
Urban Stages (Frances Hill, Founding Artistic Director), in association with producer/director/lyricist Peter Napolitano announces a series of musical evenings entitled WINTER RHYTHMS 2012, beginning on Tuesday, December 4 and running through Friday, December 15, 2012 at Urban Stages Theatre (259 West 30th Street). Cabaret Cares the award-winning benefit series returns to The Laurie Beechman Theatre tonight, November 25th at 9:30 PM. Created by cabaret Producer Joseph Macchia the series raises funds for Help Is On The Way Today a non for profit organization he funded to help children and youth living with HIV and AIDS.
BroadwayWorld.com is proud and excited to announce that it has joined forces with The Metropolitan Room (34 West 22nd Street), one of New York City's leading cabaret venues, to stage a variety show on February 21, 2013 (6:30-9 pm) featuring the winners of the voting now being held on the site and which ends on December 31. More than 3,000 nominations were posted on the site after BroadwayWorld.com announced its first-ever New York Cabaret Awards in early October, and more than 200 performers in 20 categories made the final ballot that is currently being voted on by cabaret fans throughout the New York metro area and beyond.

After receiving more than 3,000 nominations once BroadwayWorld.com announced it's first-ever New York Cabaret Awards in early October, BWW is now pleased to announce it's final nominations ballot in 20 categories. Now it's time for all you cabaret performers and fans to vote for the best singers, musicians and shows of the year. Voting will continue until December 31 and winners will be announced in early January.

The first 11 o'clock number of the evening came at around 8:05, when Marc Kudisch opened Town Hall's The Best of Broadway By The Year concert by caressing Lerner and Loewe's “If Ever I Would Leave You” with his rich, dramatic baritone and superlative musical acting skills. It was a very appropriate opening since Kudisch, a regular participant throughout the concert series' twelve-season history, very much represents what these evenings have evolved into; a look at what Broadway could be in a commercially different environment.
