The 2018-19 Signature Theatre Season will feature six works by five resident playwrights, including two productions by Signature's new Residency 1 playwright, Lynn Nottage, and a world premiere musical from Signature's first musical theatre writer-in-residence Dave Malloy, the company announced today.

The South by Southwest (SXSW) Conference and Festivals announced the features lineup and opening night film for the 25th edition of the Film Festival, running March 9-18, 2018 in Austin, Texas. The acclaimed program draws thousands of fans, filmmakers, press, and industry leaders every year to immerse themselves in the most innovative, smart and entertaining new films of the year.

Virtuosity and imagination combine in one utterly unique event, as Tony and Emmy Award winner John Lithgow creates a singularly intimate evening. With equal measures of humor and heart, he evokes memories of family, explores and expands the limits of the actor's craft, and masterfully conjures a cast of indelible characters from classic short stories by Ring Lardner and P. Amazon Original Series THE ROMANOFFS, created, written, directed and executive produced by nine-time Emmy award winner Matthew Weiner (Mad Men), and co-produced with Weinstein Television, has set additional guest actors slated to join the series, including Corey Stoll, Andrew Rannells and Mike Doyle.

The Directors Company has announced a reading of MORE, a new play by Deborah Rennard, featuring Dana Delany, Carla Gugino, Olga Merediz, and Michael Bakkensen. The reading is being directed by Evan Bergman.
