Danielle Hope will join the cast of London's West End production of Les Miserables beginning June 18 starring as Eponine. She joins Geronimo Rauch and Tam Mutu, who will join the cast to play Jean Valjean and Javert respectively, Daily Mail reports.

Nicholas Hytner's five star award-winning production of One Man, Two Guvnors is currently playing at the Theatre Royal Haymarket after two sell-out record-breaking runs at the National and Adelphi Theatres. Joining Owain Arthur as lovable chancer Francis Henshall are Jodie Prenger and Hannah Spearritt who play Dolly and Pauline respectively. Martin Barrass joins the cast to play Alfie with David Benson as Gareth, Nigel Betts as Harry, Derek Elroy as Lloyd, Gerard Horan as Charlie, Daniel Ings as Alan, Ben Mansfield as Stanley and Gemma Whelan as Rachel.

Eric Schaeffer, Artistic Director of Signature Theatre, today announced the lineup for the company's 2012/2013 season. The Tony Award®-winning company, long renowned for staging bold and innovative productions of classic musicals, will be reinventing four legendary Broadway favorites for their exciting 23rd season. In addition to a co-production with Ford's Theatre of the 10-time Tony Award®-winner Hello, Dolly!, Signature will be bringing the uproarious musical comedy The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas and the inspirational award-winning musical Dreamgirls to the intimate MAX Theatre. Signature, the Theatre most closely associated with producing definitive productions of Stephen Sondheim, will also present the quintessential musical on love and marriage, Company, for the first time in twenty years.

The story of the controversial 'Mad Monk,' Grigori Yefimovich Rasputin is now the subject of the new rock musical Brother Russia, which makes its world premiere at the Tony Award-winning Signature Theatre. The new musical features Music by Dana Rowe and Book and Lyrics by John Dempsey - the award-winning creators behind The Fix (1998) and The Witches of Eastwick (2007). Directed by Signature's Artistic Director Eric Schaeffer, the production will star John Lescault (Signature's Art and The Lieutenant of Inishmore) as the infamous and enigmatic Rasputin, Natascia Diaz (Kiss of the Spider Woman at Signature, and Savage in Limbo at MetroStage), Doug Kreeger (Signature's The Visit), Amy McWilliams (Signature's The Witches of Eastwick and Urinetown), and Tracy Lynn Olivera (Les Misérables and Merrily We Roll Along at Signature). Erin Driscoll, Stephen Gregory Smith, Rachel Zampelli, Russell Sunday, Kevin McAllister, and Christopher Mueller round out the cast for this world premiere event. The marquees of Disney's New Amsterdam Theatre, home of the musical Mary Poppins, along with the Minskoff and Nederlander Theatres, which house Disney Theatrical Productions' The Lion King and Newsies, will dim this evening at 7:01 in memory of legendary songwriter Robert Sherman, who died yesterday in London at 86.

Disney songwriter Robert B. Sherman died yesterday, March 5, in London. The Academy and Grammy Award winner, who is honoured along with his brother Richard Sherman with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, was 86. Robert A. The Fox Cities Performing Arts Center and producers Thomas Schumacher of Disney Theatrical Productions and Cameron Mackintosh are set to present the award-winning musical Mary Poppins.

It was announced today (Monday 5 March) that Cat Simmons will take over the role of Nancy from Samantha Barks in Cameron Mackintosh's new production of Lionel Bart's smash hit musical OLIVER! at Birmingham Hippodrome on Tuesday 3 April, the same day that Brian Conley takes over the role of Fagin from Neil Morrissey.
