Madison Shakespeare Company Announces Details for 10th Anniversary Season

Southern Wisconsin's year-round classic theater organization, Madison Shakespeare Company, announced today details for its 10th anniversary season. MSC's first production, Julius Caesar, premiered on July 26 2012 at Madison's Breese Stevens Field, before the venue's recent reinvention as a home for professional soccer and major touring acts.

Pop-Up Performances of ALL'S WELL THAT ENDS WELL to be Presented by Madison Shakespeare Company

Madison Shakespeare Company will present two special pop-up performances this July in anticipation of the summer premiere of the full-length comedy All's Well That Ends Well. The events are scheduled for 7 PM Thursday July 8 on the Stone Horse Green in downtown Middleton, and 5 PM Saturday July 10 at Everyday Kitchen on Madison's Near West side.

Chesapeake College and the Phenomenal Animals Present MIASMA: A DIGITAL RADIO PLAY

How do you teach acting and improvisation while socially distanced? How does a college put on its spring production in a time of quarantine? The Phenomenal Animals have partnered with Chesapeake College's Peake Players to present Miasma, an new digital 'radio play' about three people sequestered on a sprawling ranch property at an undisclosed location somewhere on Maryland's Eastern Shore. Who are these people and why have they been separated from the rest of the world?

Young Players Presents NEWSIES at the Royal Theatre

For the first time in Arkansas and coming to the Royal Theatre September 15-30, 2018 is the Young Players production of Disney's Newsies the Musical - the Tony Award-winning Broadway phenomenon. The show is based on the historical newsboy strike of 1899 that shook the ivory towers of William Randolph Hearst and Joseph Pulitzer. With music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Jack Feldmen and book by Harvey Fierstein, Newsies leaps onto the stage with soul stirring music, amazing heart, and stunning choreography. Newsies is under the direction of Daphne Shoppach with Jo Murry as musical director and Jenny Johnston as choreographer.

Kronos Quartet, Rinde Eckert & Van-Ánh Vo In 'My Lai,' Come to Royce Hall

UCLA's Center for the Art of Performance (CAP UCLA) presents the Kronos Quartet, tenor Rinde Eckert and Vietnamese instrumental virtuoso Van-Ánh Võ inMy Lai, composed by Jonathan Berger with libretto by Harriet Scott Chessman, at8 p.m. on Friday, March 9 at Royce Hall. Abigail Fine Named Managing Director of NextStop Theatre

The Board of Directors of NextStop Theatre Company today announced the appointment of Abigail Fine as Managing Director.
