TV Land has given the axe to two of its original series. LOPEZ, the comedy starring George Lopez, has been canceled after two seasons. The network's other late-night comedy, THROWING SHADE has also been canceled after one season. Their other original series NOBODIES, a comedy produced by Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone, will move to new Viacom venture Paramount Network, as reported by Deadline.
Freeform today announced the start of production of scripted comedy pilot BROWN GIRLS. From writers Shilpi Roy and Nastaran Dibai, the multi-cam comedy pilot started production this week in Los Angeles.
