3DB Live Presents: Coco Peru, Ross Mathews' Dragtastic Brunch, Battle of the Bitches w/Jackie Beat and Sherry Vine, Throwing Shade & More
Today Brooklyn's premier queer club, 3 Dollar Bill, announces a number of special events - 3DB Live -lined up for fall 2019. The following list is in formation and does not include 3DB's regular events and parties produced by other promoters, which are also listed at 3dbnyc.com/events:
Coco Peru - Have you Heard?September 13 and 14, 7:30-10pm (doors open at 6:30)Coco loves to reminisce. In fact, she's very good at it. In HAVE YOU HEARD? Coco performs some of her favorite monologues and songs spanning her long career, as well as some new stuff too. Whether you've heard all or some of these stories, or if you're a Coco virgin, come see why Lily Tomlin called Coco "one of the last great storytellers" and experience the trailblazing Queen who elevated drag whilst still wearing sensible heels. Tickets are $35 (regular admission) and $50 (VIP admission/seating and meet and greet).
Ross Matthews Presents Dragtastic Bubbly BrunchSeptember 14, 1- 4pm (doors open at Noon)The hottest drag brunch in LA and Palm Springs is coming to New York! Featured Drag Queens include RuPaul's Drag Race stars Silky Nutmeg Ganache, Dusty Ray Bottoms, and Alexis Mateo, with Rifi Royalty. Tickets are $25 (general admission) and $35 (VIP admission/seating with a meet and greet). Food is sold a la carte by Del Sur Cocina.
Battle of the Bitches w/Jackie Beat & Sherry VineNovember 7 and 8, 8-10pm (doors open at 7)Watch as this dynamic duo (that the New York Times called "the Laurel & Hardy of drag") take each other on, song by filthy song! Blindly picking topics from a hat, each determined diva will belt out one of her world-famous, sick 'n' twisted song parodies. Whether the topic is DRUGS, DRAG or DICK, never fear - these gorgeous gals will have the perfect parody to present!Tickets are $30 (general admission) and $50 (VIP admission/seating and meet and greet).
Throwing Shade -- Podcast TapingNovember 10, 5-6:30 pm and 7:30-9pm (doors open at 4)Throwing Shade is a weekly comedy podcast which premiered based on discussions of women's rights, LGBTQ rights, progressive politics and pop culture, hosted by Erin Gibson (a.k.a. "Feminasty") and Bryan Safi (a.k.a. "Homosensual"). Gibson and Safi are "equal-opportunity offenders," and their comedic repartee frequently features adult topics and a politically incorrect sense of humor, even as they explore serious cultural and political issues. Tickets are $35 (regular admission) and $50 (VIP meet and greet).
