TV Land has given the axe to two of its original series. LOPEZ, the comedy starring George Lopez, has been canceled after two seasons. The network's other late-night comedy, THROWING SHADE has also been canceled after one season. Their other original series NOBODIES, a comedy produced by Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone, will move to new Viacom venture Paramount Network, as reported by Deadline.

Now, TV Land has only two original scripted series left, which happen to be its biggest hits (YOUNGER and TEACHERS). YOUNGER just wrapped up their most watched season yet. TEACHERS also boasts great ratings in their season two. LOPEZ and NOBODIES did not fair as well as these two. THROWING SHADE, from FunnyOrDie, could not keep afloat in competition with other popular late night programming.

Viacom is currently in the process of rebranding its Spike Network as the Paramount Network. Viacom is heavily focused on bringing original content to Paramount, while TV Land continues to suffer.

LOPEZ followed George Lopez's character, as he struggled to GIVE back to his beloved community, while also satisfying his own needs under the demands of being a celebrity.

NOBODIES starred Groundlings alums Hugh Davidson, Larry Dorf and Rachel Ramras (who also wrote and produced the show) who try to get a famous friend on their script so they can become Hollywood royalty.

THROWING SHADE is based on the popular podcast of the same name, with hosts Erin Gibson and Bryan Safi.
