Black Theatre United has announced its inaugural Gala, set to take place on Monday, October 30 at the Ziegfeld Ballroom in New York. Supported by Business for Good (BFG), the theme is “A Salute to Broadway Legends: Past, Present, and Future” and will be a star-studded evening in celebration of the indelible mark that Black culture has had and continues to have on Broadway.

Donna Lynne Champlin, Sally Mayes, and Valerie Wright will headline the world premiere concert of the new musical, THE CRINOLYNNS. Greensburg's Stage Right! and their GhostLight Initiative will present the show at the Carey Performing Arts Center on the campus of Saint Vincent's College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania on Saturday, September 30th.

According to various reports, the musical television series Up Here has been canceled by Hulu after one season. The series, from Steven Levenson ('tick, tick...BOOM!'), Thomas Kail ('Hamilton'), Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez ('Frozen'), premiered on Friday, March 24 with all eight episodes.

Tickets for Perelman Performing Arts Center's (PAC NYC) inaugural season performances beginning in September are on public sale today, Friday, June 23, at 10 am.

The Board of Trustees of the Entertainment Community Fund (formerly The Actors Fund), voted Annette Bening as the new Chair of the Board. She now steps into her new role as Chair of the Board, succeeding Brian Stokes Mitchell, who held the position of Chair since 2004.
