RENT airs tonight at 8pm on FOX. The star-studded cast includes actress Kiersey Clemons (Joanne Jefferson), Emmy nominee and Tony Award winner Brandon Victor Dixon (Tom Collins), singer/songwriter Jordan Fisher (Mark Cohen), actress and singer Vanessa Hudgens(Maureen Johnson), newcomer and singer/songwriter Brennin Hunt (Roger Davis), R&B/Pop superstar Mario (Benjamin Coffin III), recording artist Tinashe (Mimi Marquez) and performer Valentina (Angel Dumont Schunard).

BroadwayWorld has learned that Brennin Hunt, who will play the role of Roger in RENT, live on FOX, suffered an injury last night during rehearsal. A statement was released by FOX, stating that the show must go on.

Fox has confirmed that the original Broadway company of RENT will make an appearance during tonight's live broadcast!

The original production of Rent opened over 20 years ago, and skyrocketed its cast to stardom, kickstarting the careers of some of Broadway's now-biggest names. Today we're taking a look at where they are now...

There are just a few days until the latest batch of bohemians step into the iconic shoes of Jonathan Larson's family of friends in Rent Live. But according to some exciting new social media posts, it seems Broadway's original cast will also take part in the live event.

Tonight, FOX will air their third live musical production. Following in the footsteps of Grease and A Christmas Story, the network will be presenting Jonathan Larson's Rent, a rock musical that is loosely based on Giacomo Puccini's 1896 opera, La boheme. The story follows a group of impoverished young artists struggling to survive and create a life in New York City's East Village in the thriving days of Bohemian Alphabet City, under the shadow of HIV/AIDS.

There is truly no day but today when it comes to FOX's Rent, which airs tonight at 8pm. Since it premiered off Broadway in 1996, the musical has earned a special place in the hearts of all those who have encountered Jonathan Larson's powerful message- Rentheads and ordinary theatre-goers alike.
