With the Season 2 finale of The Pitt almost here, we have rounded up some of the stage stars who have made regular appearances on the hit series during its first two seasons.

On March 1, the 32nd Annual Actor Awards Presented by SAG-AFTRA were held, honoring outstanding motion picture and television performances of the past year. Among this year's winners included Jessie Buckley, who took home an award for Hamnet.

Ariana Grande, Jessie Buckley, Ethan Hawke, and more have received nominations for their performances in Wicked: For Good, Hamnet, and Blue Moon at SAG-AFTRA's 32nd Annual Actor Awards.

STARVING ARTISTS US will make their LA debut production with the world premiere of NIGHTINGALE by Frederick Mensch- a stage adaptation of HBO’s 2014 film by the original screenwriter.

Playwright Lee Edward Colston II’s The First Deep Breath is receiving its west coast premiere at the Geffen Playhouse through March 5, 2023. Steve H. Broadnax III directs a most uniformly stellar cast of: Opa Adeyemo, playwright Lee Edward Colston II, Brandon Mendez Homer, Ella Joyce, Herb Newsome, Deanna Reed-Foster, Candace Thomas and Keith A. Wallace. Steve managed to find some off-time between rehearsals and shows to answer a few of my queries.

Geffen Playhouse has announced the full cast for its West Coast premiere of The First Deep Breath, written by Lee Edward Colston II (Roost, Fargo) and directed by Steve H. Broadnax III (Thoughts of a Colored Man, The Hot Wing King).

Last night Primary Stages, in association with Ted Snowdon presented On That Day in Amsterdam at 59E59 Theaters. Previews began on July 23 with a limited run through September 4, 2022.  Check out the Opening Night photos here!

PRIMARY STAGES announced casting for On That Day in Amsterdam by Clarence Coo (People Sitting in Darkness) and directed by Zi Alikhan (The Boy Who Danced on Air). On That Day in Amsterdam will begin previews at 59E59’s Theater A on July 23, 2022, with opening night set for August 11 for a limited run through September 4, 2022.

Pasadena Playhouse has announced casting and creative team for the Los Angeles premiere of the Richard Nelson, Richard Pevear, and Larissa Volokhonsky translation of Uncle Vanya by Anton Chekhov coming to the Playhouse June 1 through June 26; the press opening is Sunday, June 5 at 5 p.m. 

Soho Rep, in association with Ma-Yi Theater Company, has added two weeks of performances to the New York premiere of Hansol Jung’s Wolf Play, a mischievous and affecting new work, directed by Dustin Wills, about the families we choose and unchoose. The run will now continue through Sunday, March 20. T

The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) will bring Shakespeare's CYMBELINE, directed by Carl Cofield, on tour for the first time ever to venues across the city in a free four-week tour (April 16-May 15), as part of The Public's commitment to bringing free theater to all and deepening its engagement with communities across the five boroughs. The Mobile Unit's free tours bring Shakespeare and other works to audiences who have limited or no access to the arts by visiting correctional facilities, homeless shelters, social service organizations, and other community organizations. Following the tour to the five boroughs, there will also be a free three-week engagement of CYMBELINE in The Public's Shiva Theater running Monday, May 18 through Sunday, June 7, with an official press opening on Thursday, May 21.

Juilliard Drama begins its inaugural year under the leadership of Obie-winning director Evan Yionoulis, Richard Rodgers Director of the Drama Division. Current acting director Richard Feldman will resume his role as associate director and faculty member. The 2018-19  season features fully staged productions showcasing Juilliard's Group 48 acting students in their fourth and final year in the program.

Shakespeare on the Sound (Claire Shannon Kelly, Artisitic Director and Christine Larsen, Managing Director) celebrate its 23rd season with Shakespeare's beloved comedy A Midsummer Night Dream, directed by Artistic Director? Claire Shannon Kelly. Set in the Jane Austen time period, audiences will be transported into a magical forest where they will embark on a sentimental quest together with Shakespeare's iconic characters. Performances began on Thursday, June 14 in Pinkney Park (177 Rowayton Avenue, Norwalk, CT) and will continue through July 1. OPENING NIGHT is TONIGHT, Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 7:30 p.m.
