Tituss Burgess has revealed that he originally turned down starring in Oh, Mary! In a new video from Live! With Kelly and Mark, Burgess shared that although Cole Escola had shared that they wanted him to take over the role, he was hesitant.

Six-time Emmy Award-nominated actor Tituss Burgess will take over the role of ‘Mary Todd Lincoln’ in the acclaimed comedy, Oh, Mary! Tituss will begin Tuesday, March 18, 2025 for a limited 3-week engagement through Sunday, April 6, 2025.

Oh, Mary!, the Sam Pinkleton-directed comedy written by and starring Cole Escola, has recouped its entire production costs on Broadway, becoming the first show of the 2024-2025 Broadway season to announce its recoupment.
