According to Deadline, Ava DuVernay will produce and direct a Netflix documentary about the late Nipsey Hussle.

Back Lot Music has released the original motion picture soundtrack to Universal Pictures' THE PHOTOGRAPH today. The soundtrack to the film features an original score by multi-GRAMMY® winning recording artist Robert Glasper, as well as two new songs by recent GRAMMY® nominee Lucky Daye and GRAMMY® winning artist H.E.R. The romantic drama, starring Issa Rae and LaKeith Stanfield, arrives in theaters nationwide on Valentine's Day.

The International Cinematographers Guild (ICG, IATSE Local 600) Publicists today announced winners of its 57th Annual ICG Publicists Awards at The Beverly Hilton Hotel. JOKER (Warner Bros. Pictures) won the top honors for the Maxwell Weinberg Award for Motion Pictures Publicity Campaign, presented by Director Paul Feig (Ghostbusters). THE MANDALORIAN: Season 1 (Disney+) won the Maxwell Weinberg Award for Television Publicity Campaign, presented by actor Jason Lewis (Sex in the City). This year's luncheon, which traditionally occurs the week leading up to the Academy Awards®, was chaired by Tim Menke and co-chaired by Sheryl Main. More than 800 industry leaders attended, including guild members, Hollywood public relations and marketing executives, producers, studio and network executives, celebrities and press.

Diane von Furstenberg and the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures co-presented the sixth annual luncheon to honor the women nominees of the 92nd Academy Awards. The luncheon took place at Diane von Furstenberg's private Los Angeles residence, hosted by Ava DuVernay, Tessa Thompson* and Dawn Hudson*.

Oprah Winfrey Network hosted a launch celebration last night for its upcoming relationship drama, “Cherish the Day”, created and executive produced by Emmy winner/Academy Award nominee Ava DuVernay (“Queen Sugar,” “When They See Us”). The evening affair welcomed DuVernay, series stars Xosha Roquemore (“The Mindy Project”) and Alano Miller (“Underground”,) and additional cast including Michael Beach, Anne-Marie Johnson and Kellee Stewart.

The Recording Academy® has confirmed the final slate of performers for the 62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards®. Previously announced Gary Clark Jr., will be joined by The Roots to perform Clark's GRAMMY-nominated song 'This Land.' Preservation Hall Jazz Band and Trombone Shorty will unite to honor those we have lost this year in a touching In Memoriam piece. And, Sheila E. will take the stage with Usher for an exciting GRAMMY Salute to Prince. The Recording Academy® announced their lineup of artists, musicians, actors, and comedians who will take the stage as presenters at the 62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards®. This year's presenters include current GRAMMY® nominees Jim Gaffigan and Trevor Noah; GRAMMY winners Common, Cynthia Erivo, Dua Lipa, Billy Porter, Smokey Robinson, Shania Twain, Keith Urban, and Stevie Wonder; past GRAMMY nominees Ava DuVernay and Bebe Rexha; and music industry moguls Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne. GLAAD, the world's largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) media advocacy organization, today announced that it will honor award-winning actress, producer, and activist Judith Light with the Excellence in Media Award at the 31st Annual GLAAD Media Awards in New York. GLAAD also announced that Lilly Singh, openly bisexual executive producer and host of NBC's a?oeA Little Late with Lilly Singh,a?? will serve as host of the Awards, which will take place at the Hilton Midtown in New York on Thursday, March 19. GLAAD previously announced that Ryan Murphy will receive the Vito Russo Award at the New York ceremony.

The Producers Guild of America (PGA) hosted the 31st Annual Producers Guild Awards on the evening of Saturday, January 18 at the Hollywood Palladium. A full list of winners is below.

OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network revealed today the premiere date and official trailer for its new original anthology drama “Cherish the Day,” created and executive produced by Emmy winner/Academy Award nominee Ava DuVernay (“Queen Sugar,” “When They See Us”). “Cherish the Day” is set for a two-night premiere on Tuesday, February 11 at 10 p.m. ET/PT and Wednesday, February 12 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Tuesday night's premiere will be presented with limited commercials by Toyota Highlander. The eight-episode chapter will continue to air on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

They've Gotta Have Us, a dynamic chronicle of art, activism and race in Black Cinema featuring in-depth interviews with some of Hollywood's most iconic voices, has been acquired by ARRAY Releasing as the company's first series acquisition.  ARRAY will premiere the docu-series on Netflix on February 5, 2020. ARRAY has also acquired distribution rights in the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Africa. The Producers Guild of America (PGA) announced today the Motion Pictures and Television nominees for the 31st Annual Producers Guild Awards. Winners in these categories will be announced at the PGA awards ceremony on January 18 at the Hollywood Palladium.
