Boasting classic songs like 'I Could Have Danced All Night' and 'On the Street Where You Live,' My Fair Lady tells the story of Eliza Doolittle, a young Cockney flower seller, and Henry Higgins, a linguistics professor who is determined to transform her into his idea of a 'proper lady.' 59E59 Theaters has announced productions for the Brits Off Broadway 2023 Season, their annual celebration of U.K. theatre.

Sacramento Theatre Company continues its season of Curiosity, Intrigue, and Suspense with the curiously intriguing and suspenseful thriller, Wait Until Dark. Written by Frederick Knott, the play first opened on Broadway in 1966 and ran for 373 performances. It was then made into a successful 1967 film starring Audrey Hepburn.  This timeless classic is still delivering nail-biting tension over 50 years later, this time to STC’s Pollock Stage in director Natasha Hause’s brilliant rendering.

Following her new GRAMMY win, Viola Davis has become the 18th person in history to achieve the EGOT status. Davis has won two Tony Awards for King Hedley II in 2001 and then for Fences in 2010. She won an Emmy Award for How to Get Away With Murder and an Oscar for reprising her stage role in the film adaptation of Fences.

Metro Theatre Vancouver will present the masterfully constructed thriller WAiT UNTiL DARK, written by Frederick Knott and directed by Don Briard. On stage February 18 - March 5, 2023.

Michael Tilson Thomas returns to conduct the New York Philharmonic March 9–12 in four concerts, highlighted by the New York premiere of his Meditations on Rilke. Mezzo-soprano Sasha Cooke, who premiered and recorded the cycle with Tilson Thomas and the San Francisco Symphony in 2019, and bass-baritone Dashon Burton are featured soloists. Also on the program is Schubert's Symphony No. 9, Great. 

In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Possum Point Players, the community theater group is bringing back a season of favorites from their five decades of live theater in Sussex County.

While this touring production of the show was not, by any means bad, it was nothing new.  Broadway revivals are currently pushing the envelope to explore the content in new and creative ways.  This production of My Fair Lady instead, rests comfortably on its laurels.

What did our critic think of MY FAIR LADY at MARCUS CENTER? There's a loverly bit of old-school musical theater at Milwaukee's Marcus Center this week. My Fair Lady returns, and fans of the original show and film starring Audrey Hepburn and Rex Harrison will no doubt adore this production. There's something comforting about a classic Broadway show delivering on its tried and true promises. For My Fair Lady, it's strong vocals, captivating characters, sumptuous costumes, richly-designed sets, a toe-tapper here, a chuckle there. All are present in this touring Lincoln Center Theater Production, directed by Bartlett Sher.

Attendants of this year's New York Comic Con were treated to a live performance of Ondine: A Queer Fairy Tale, a puppet play presented by Brett Crandall Studios.
