Today, the full list of nominees for the “53rd NAACP Image Awards” were announced. Nominees included Ariana DeBose, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Encanto, Cynthia Erivo, Audra McDonald, Respect, Taraji P. Henson, Tituss Burgess, Jennifer Hudson, Billy Porter, Denzel Washington, and more. Check out the full list of nominees now!

One sketch from last night's SNL show, a parody of The Sound of Music, features a misfit bunch of children that McKinnon, Maria Von Trapp, was unable to successfully charm. Cue Ariana DeBose, who waltzes in as a quirky new nanny with a unique take on the musical's famous 'Do Re Mi'. 

Ariana DeBose, who most recently won a Golden Globe for her performance in Spielberg's West Side Story as Anita, made her SNL debut as the hostess last night. Watch as the Broadway star gives her opening monologue to kick off the show and gets musically interrupted by Kate McKinnon.

Saturday Night Live has announced that Ariana DeBose will serve as the host of the January 15 episode. DeBose will be joined by Bleachers as a musical guest.

Taye Diggs and Nicole Byer will host the ceremony at the Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel in California. West Side Story leads the nominations with 11. Also nominated are tick, tick...BOOM!, Andrew Garfield, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Peter Dinklage, Denzel Washington, Ariana DeBose, Rita Moreno, and Rachel Zegler. The Shed is presenting a newly commissioned production of The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe, freshly revisited by playwright Jane Wagner. Tony nominated director Leigh Silverman (Lifespan of a Fact, Violet) stages the iconic play starring Cecily Strong (Saturday Night Live, Schmigadoon!) in her theatrical debut.

Saturday Night Live returns with host Ariana DeBose and musical guest Bleachers, replacing the previously announced Roddy Ricch. Bleachers will make their SNL musical guest debut. Their third studio album, “Take the Sadness Out of Saturday Night” was released last year to critical acclaim.
