Ballet Hispánico, America's leading Latino dance organization known for 'piercing stereotypes' (The New York Times), announces its highly-anticipated 50th Celebration commemorating half a century of dance, orgullo, education, sabor, access, amor, community, espíritu, and innovation-a love poem to one of America's Cultural Treasures.

Ballet Hispánico is partnering with DOROT, a New York City-based nonprofit organization creating social connections for older adults, to present a virtual performance and artistic talkback with Rodney Hamilton, Michelle Manzanales, and Melissa Verdecia on Thursday, May 13, 2021 and two virtual movement workshops on Thursdays May 20 and 27, 2021.

The Tony Award-winning, record-breaking hit musical Chicago will return to the Broadway stage on Tuesday, September 14.

The series, which will offer audiences 4 intimate performances, will honor Tony Award winning, Broadway legend, Ann Reinking and feature New York's biggest dance stars from American Ballet Theatre, Dance Theater of Harlem, New York City Ballet, Broadway and more.

Off The Lane announced today the opening of applications for the Ann Reinking Scholarship Program. Applications for this inaugural year will be open from May 3-June 30, 2021 with the winner being announced at the Empower Artists Fundraiser on November 8th, 2021, two days prior to the late Ann Reinking's birthday.

ALESSANDRA CORONA PERFORMING WORKS will return to the stage for a live performance May 6, 7:30 PM, with two premieres: Corona's 'Labyrinth,' and 'Breaking Through the Generational Curse' by guest choreographer Maiya Redding.   In addition to the live performance at the Theatre at St. Jean, the event will be live-streamed.

Ballet Hispánico is continuing its Community Arts Partnerships with a free virtual Latin Social Dance Class in partnership with Penn State, on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at 7:30pm ET. Held over Zoom, the class will be an extension of the Ballet Hispánico 50th Legacy Experience.

In We Got Annie: Ann Reinking, co-hosts Jamie DuMont and Robert Russo continue their season-long theme of their 'favorite things' by paying tribute to the singular life and work of Broadway dancer, actor, choreographer, director, and Fosse muse Ann Reinking, who passed away in December 2020.

The cast will also include Ishmail Aaron, Michelle Andrews, Delycia Belgrave, Joel Benjamin, Tanisha-Mae Brown, Callum Fitzgerald, Emily Goodenough, Billy Hardy, Aaron Jenkins, Liam Marcellino, Theo Reece, Hollie Jane Stephens and Harrison Wilde. 

Today Jacob’s Pillow has announced plans to host a multi-platform virtual and on-site Festival in 2021, undertake substantial renovations to the Ted Shawn Theatre, and complete Vision ’22, a five-year strategic plan established in 2017.

Off The Lane announced today the formation of The Ann Reinking Scholarship, the first of which will be presented this November in conjunction with the birthday of the late legendary dancer/choreographer/teacher and actress Ann Reinking, who passed away last December.

Today it's all about history-making performer, choreographer, director, costume designer, composer and visual artist, Geoffrey Holder.

In December, Broadway lost one of its brightest stars in Ann Reinking, who sadly passed away at the age of 71. Her legacy live on though, as dancers from the Broadway and National touring companies of Fosse and Chicago have reunited to tribute her memory.
