They reimagine the protagonist as a lonely rocker who gains overnight popularity after producer Harry Wotton takes him under his wing. Basil Hallward becomes Baz, a celebrity photographer charmed by the young star, while Sibyl Vane is a besotted opera singer. We wish we could say it works, but the team desecrates the original material - and not in a good way. Sex, drugs, and rock’n’roll have never looked so dull and unappealing.

DORIAN: THE MUSICAL has revealed its cast, featuring rising stars and seasoned performers.

When Connor dies whilst in the care of the NHS, his mum, Sara, wants answers. Premiering under Stephen Unwin’s taut direction, Sara Ryan’s Laughing Boy is a bittersweet docu-play about brutal neglect and apathy. While it’s a damning inquiry into the shortcomings of public health, is it a good play or is it a great production of a rather mediocre one? In our opinion, it's the second.

DORIAN: The Musical will premiere at Southwark Playhouse Borough (The Large) for a five-week run, from 4th July to 10th August 2024.

The full cast has been announced to join West End stars Carrie Hope Fletcher and Laura Pitt-Pulford in a special one-off concert of THE WITCHES OF EASTWICK at the Sondheim Theatre on Monday 20 June 2022, directed by Olivier Award-winning Maria Friedman.

Among the many reflections on the legacy of the late, great Stephen Sondheim, here comes a touchingly personal one from his frequent collaborator Maria Friedman, who also pays tribute to two other dearly departed composers: Marvin Hamlisch and Michel LeGrand.
