Tuacahn Center for the Arts announces that a new production of Frank Wildhorn and Jack Murphy's epic musical drama, The Count of Monte Cristo, will be staged at the venue's outdoor amphitheatre next summer.

To fulfill his dream of becoming a Musketeer, young d'Artagnan heads for Paris and into a world of romance, intrigue, and action. There, he joins with Athos, Porthos, and Aramis, vowing to stand a?oeall for one and one for alla?? in their war against the Cardinal. Max Bush's dramatization brings to the stage all the excitement and derring-do of this classic story as Alexandre Dumas originally penned it in 1844. Heroism, treachery, close escapes and the pursuit of honor that is fun for all ages.

a??a??a??a??a??a??a??A play filled with some of the most beautiful music ever written, Dumas' Camille is both a deeply romantic love story and a thought-provoking exploration of the relationship between truth, memory, and art. Written by New Hampshire playwright Charles Morey, this emotionally charged, highly romantic 'play with music' opens at the Peterborough Players on August 14th and runs through the 25th.

Washington Concert Opera (WCO) announces its 2019-2020 lineup, a season that champions rare works and celebrates award-winning voices. The season will start in November with Ambroise Thomas' Hamlet. Then in April they will present Giuseppe Verdi's Simon Boccanegra, a truly stunning work that has not been heard in D.C. since 1998. In addition to these GWU Lisner Auditorium performances, the season will feature a third annual Opera Outside series at Meridian Hill/Malcolm X Park.

For Hudson Warehouse's 16th Season, they are excited to announce The World Premiere of their original adaptation of Alexandre Dumas's The Man in the Iron Mask. Hudson Warehouse has taken on a four-year long series they've called "The Dumas Adventures." Dashing young mobster Edward is a guileless and honest young man whose plans to marry the beautiful Mercedes and live a better life are abruptly shattered when his best friend who wants Mercedes for himself, deceives him. Told through a Chicago 1920s lens this dance adaptation brings to life the tale of The Count Of Monte Cristo.

On June 1, 2019, Los Angeles Opera revived Marta Domingo's production of Giuseppe Verdi's beloved La Traviata (The Lost One). The story concerns Marie Duplessis, an enormously famous courtesan whose life has fascinated the public for well over a century. She is the subject of La Dame aux Camelias (The Lady of the Camelias) by Alexandre Dumas the younger, who claimed to be one of Marie's lovers and she is the heroine of Verdi's opera. Los Angeles Opera reprised its 2006 production of La Traviata for the third time on June 1, 2019, at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion.

Smith, which is being presented as part of the fourth annual Women in Theatre Festival, June 5-29 at the Jeffrey and Paula Gural Theatre at the A.R.T./New York Theatres (502 West 53rd Street New York, NY 10019).

With a cast of predominately black and brown actors, it's all for one and one for all in this action-packed, humor-filled take on Alexandre Dumas' The Three Musketeers.
