Recently, we had the chance to speak with Drew Gasparini, who wrote the music and lyrics for The Karate Kid. We discussed what his creative process has been like for the show, what it’s like to write for an adaptation versus an original piece of work and even how he didn’t actually want to be a part of the Karate Kid musical in the first place!

Rehearsal photos have been released for the UK premiere tour of THE KARATE KID – THE MUSICAL, based on the Columbia Pictures film. The stage adaptation features a book by Robert Mark Kamen and music and lyrics by Drew Gasparini, bringing the story of Daniel LaRusso and Mr. Miyagi to the stage.

NAC English Theatre presents the Stratford Festival’s production of Salesman in China, written by Canadian playwrights, Leanna Brodie and Jovanni Sy for two weeks only at the National Arts Centre.
