Adirondack Theatre Festival has released the following statement regarding the cancellation of their summer programming:

Musical Theatre Factory Tune In Tuesdays continues on May 5 with Douglas Lyons and Ethan Pakchar's BEAU. BEAU had a rousing launch production at the 25th season of the Adirondack Theatre Festival last year; after development with MTF, The Directors Company, Lincoln Center, Roundabout Theatre Company and Bucks County Playhouse.

The Saratogian has reported that the Adirondack Theatre Festival is currently seeking ways to put on their season. The company's producing artistic director, Chad Rabinovitz, shared, 'If there is any way I can put on a season, that's what I intend to do...I owe it to our community and I owe it to our sponsors who have supported us...'

Broadway Veteran Jeb Brown, (Spiderman, Beautiful) sings 'By Your Side' in the fifth episode of Douglas Lyons and Ethan D. Pakchar's 'Beau Quarantined Concerts'. Beau tells the story of musician Ace Baker, who at 12 discovered the grandfather his mother intended to keep a secret; a man who changed Ace's life forever by putting a guitar in his hand, and self-love in his heart.

Matt Rodin, who starred in the Adirondack Theatre Festival production of Beau,  revisits the score in the third  episode of Douglas Lyons and Ethan Pakchar's 'Beau Quarantined Concerts'. Beau tells the story of Ace Baker, who at 12 discovers the grandfather his mother intended to keep a secret; a man who changes Ace's life forever by putting a guitar in his hand, and self-love in his heart.

Ben Roseberry, currently Ed on Broadway in Disney's The Lion King, kicks off Douglas Lyons and Ethan Pakchar's 'Beau Quarantined Concerts'. The song 'Comin' Home' is from their new musical Beau, which tells the story of Ace Baker, who at 12 discovers the grandfather his mother intended to keep a secret. A man who changes Ace's life forever by putting a guitar in his hand, and self-love in his heart.

From the hills of Indiana to the Adirondack Mountains, Calling All Kates has taken an exciting and unconventional journey, and its latest stop is Prima Theatre in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Adirondack Theatre Festival Producing Artistic Director, Chad Rabinovitz, is proud to announce the lineup for ATF's 26th Anniversary Season.  The leading professional theatre in the Capital Region dedicated to new plays and musicals, ATF's season runs June 12 a?" August 7, 2020 with performances at the Charles R. Wood Theater in Downtown Glens Falls, NY.  The summer season of fully produced new works features 4 Mainstage shows and 4 special events, including a large-scale musical celebrating 100 years of broadcast radio, a hysterical Seinfeldian comedy, a bilingual musical drama set across two continents, and a gorgeous love story about the pain of letting go. 

A new family comedy is coming to town. Chicken and Biscuits by award winning composer-playwright and actor Douglas Lyons (Beautiful), will premiere at Queens Theatre, Feb 28th-March 22nd, 2020.

Merrimack Repertory Theatre (MRT) will present its critically acclaimed production of Nina Simone: Four Women, first staged last spring with Northlight Theatre in Chicago, to Lowell from February 12 to March 8 only at the Nancy L. Donahue Theatre, according to Executive Director Bonnie J. Butkas and Interim Artistic Director Terry Berliner.

In what has become an annual ritual, a total of 40 established and emerging composers, lyricists, and librettists will converge on the Goodspeed campus from mid-January through mid-February 2020 to participate in the Johnny Mercer Foundation Writers Colony at Goodspeed Musicals. The writing teams, representing 15 new musicals, will populate the campus, creating a truly exciting environment for discovery and inspiration.

Hero Theatre announced a special collaboration with immersive theatre artist Jack McCarthy as part of their 2020/2021 season. McCarthy has been commissioned to create two world-premiere immersive plays. The productions are part of Hero Ignite, a new division of the company that serves as an incubator for new works created and inspired by the experiences of youth in America today.

New York City's Institute for American Musical Theatre has announced plans for a unique 2-year 'Creators' program. Built and run by award winning lyricist-librettist Sam Carner (Island Song, Unlock'd), the new intensive and highly collaborative training will be guided by a faculty including composer-lyricist Adam Gwon (Ordinary Days, Scotland PA, String), composer-lyricist Michael R. Jackson (A Strange Loop, Teeth, White Girl in Danger), composer Anna K. Jacobs (Pop, Teeth), director Lonny Price (A Class Act, Best Worst Thing That Ever Could Have Happened, Company, Sweeney Todd), composer Derek Gregor (Island Song, Unlock'd), music supervisor Brad Haak (Mary Poppins, Daddy Long Legs), director Marlo Hunter (American Reject, Saved By the Bell: the Musical), musical director Andy Collopy (Lightning Thief), and other Broadway professionals still being confirmed.

In Chicken and Biscuits, Baneatta and Beverly attempt to put their sisterly differences aside to bury their father, Bernard. All is well at the funeral until it's revealed that Bernard had not just two daughters, but three. Wig pins loosen, as truths emerge, leaving this African-American family to confront their skeletons head on; naturally with lots of love, shade, and prayer along the way.

Pasadena Playhouse Producing Artistic Director Danny Feldman announces the Los Angeles premiere of Ann - written by and starring Holland Taylor and directed by Benjamin Endsley Klein from May 27 to June 28, 2020, and the on-sale of tickets for The Father, written by Florian Zeller and starring Alfred Molina, translated by Christopher Hampton and directed by Jessica Kubzansky, from February 5 to March 1, 2020.

Last month at Joe's Pub, The Musical Theatre Factory presented a sold-out album release concert of Beau, Douglas Lyons and Ethan D. Pakchar's thrilling new musical. The evening was a celebration of the world premiere album, recently released on Sony Masterworks Broadway.

On Monday October 28th, Musical Theatre Factory will present an album release concert of  Lyons and Pakchar's latest musical Beau.
