peermusic has signed renowned musical theater composing team Douglas Lyons and Ethan Pakchar to an exclusive global publishing deal, as announced today by Kathy Spanberger, President, peermusic, and Carter Armstrong, Senior Vice President, Film and Television.

Renaissance Theaterworks & Adirondack Theatre Festival have announced the co-production of PAINTING FOR ONE: PAINT IN A BOX, a live, interactive experience beginning February 9 through February 20, 2021.

Adirondack Film Festival, in its 5th year of operation (produced by the Adirondack Theatre Festival), has invented a new way to bring the film festival experience into patrons' homes. Producing Artistic Director, Chad Rabinovitz, has announced the world's first Film Festival in a Box, available Oct. 15-18, 2020.

Stage West is one of several theatres nationwide to offer In the Box Entertainment, a unique set of virtual experiences, created and produced by Adirondack Theatre Festival and Bloomington Playwrights Project, beginning September 10-12, and running through February 9-20, 2021.  

The Theatre Lab School of the Dramatic Arts will be recognized this Sunday, August 9 at 2pm during the performance of Lady Liberty and the Donut Girl by Eric Lane livestreamed on Stars In The House YouTube Channel. The performance is part of Plays in the House Teen Edition, livestreamed readings of plays for young people, performed by young people to support not-for-profits bringing theater to young people. The reading will be performed by Simone Clotile and Donovan Rogers and will also feature interviews with the playwright and Theatre Lab student Zach Rakotomaniraka.

On the 13 April, 2014, the Richard Rodgers Award-winning musical theatre duo Carner & Gregor brought a concert version of their new musical ISLAND SONG to the studio space at The Other Palace.

Douglas Lyons (Beautiful, Beau) has launched The Next Wave Initiative, a developmental branch of The Directors Company committed to amplifying future Black voices in The American Theatre.

Adirondack Theatre Festival (ATF) & Bloomington Playwrights Project (BPP) Producing Artistic Director, Chad Rabinovitz, have announced an entire season of interactive virtual experiences beginning this September through February 2021.

A unique and interesting collection of more than 30 titles including clips, concerts, shorts, and full performances are made possible through the permission and generous support of ATF alumni playwrights and filmmakers. The content, you likely will not find elsewhere, will be available during the dates originally planned for ATF's 2020 summer season: June 12 - Aug. 7, 2020.

Musical Theatre Factory Tune In Tuesdays continues on May 5 with Douglas Lyons and Ethan Pakchar's BEAU. BEAU had a rousing launch production at the 25th season of the Adirondack Theatre Festival last year; after development with MTF, The Directors Company, Lincoln Center, Roundabout Theatre Company and Bucks County Playhouse.

The Saratogian has reported that the Adirondack Theatre Festival is currently seeking ways to put on their season. The company's producing artistic director, Chad Rabinovitz, shared, 'If there is any way I can put on a season, that's what I intend to do...I owe it to our community and I owe it to our sponsors who have supported us...'

Broadway Veteran Jeb Brown, (Spiderman, Beautiful) sings 'By Your Side' in the fifth episode of Douglas Lyons and Ethan D. Pakchar's 'Beau Quarantined Concerts'. Beau tells the story of musician Ace Baker, who at 12 discovered the grandfather his mother intended to keep a secret; a man who changed Ace's life forever by putting a guitar in his hand, and self-love in his heart.

Matt Rodin, who starred in the Adirondack Theatre Festival production of Beau,  revisits the score in the third  episode of Douglas Lyons and Ethan Pakchar's 'Beau Quarantined Concerts'. Beau tells the story of Ace Baker, who at 12 discovers the grandfather his mother intended to keep a secret; a man who changes Ace's life forever by putting a guitar in his hand, and self-love in his heart.
