That's the quick explanation given to the audience as to why there's nobody portraying Michael Anthony, described 'as a bassist with a golden voice and a mullet that will last twenty years' in Amy Staats' fun and frisky comedy about some of the controversies surrounding big-haired metal rockers Van Halen, Eddie and Dave.

The original cast of Broadway's Indecent reunited to record the music for the Tony Award-winning production. The recording, which will be released on January 25 by Yellow Sound Label, preserves the haunting and evocative original music for the show, composed by Lisa Gutkin and Aaron Halva, as well as the period songs that were heard throughout the production.

Vassar & New York Stage and Film have announced the next wave of casting for the highly anticipated 34th Powerhouse Season in Poughkeepsie, NY, which starts this Friday, June 22 and runs through Sunday, July 29. Actors joining the annual summer play development incubator include Tony Award nominee Raul Esparza, Tony Award winner Alice Ripley, Tony Award nominee Denee Benton, Tony Award nominee Lauren Worsham, Tony Award nominee Alex Brightman, Noah Galvin, Frankie J. Alvarez, Lesli Margherita, Michael Esper, and Carson Elrod.

On this night Dale welcomes Dolly Wells, Joan Wasser, Adina Verson, Courtney Fearrington and Emily Panic. Plus music by Ben Kling.

Just last night, the 2018 Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway were handed out to recipients in 19 categories, with three honorary awards also bestowed. The Lortel Awards were distributed in a ceremony at NYU Skirball Center hosted by Meteor Shower co-stars Laura Benanti and Jeremy Shamos. This year's event was once again a benefit for The Actors Fund.
